Poured at 50°F from a 22oz bottle (no date) into a Spiegelau stout glass. Consumed on 14Dec15.
LOOK: Pours with a half fingers worth of cinnamon colored foam that halves itself into a khaki foam head after 20 seconds. Black in color with a ruby tint. Rising bubbles are subtle in quantity and very small in size. Lacing is thin and moderate.
SMELL: Strong aromas of roasted peanuts (versus peanut butter as I would have expected from the name) and raspberry jam are backed by subtle aromas of bitter roasted malts, coffee, and hints and chocolate.
TASTE: Strong roasted peanut flavors enter initially and are immediately followed by mild flavors of raspberry jam and sweet chocolate. The raspberry jam flavors are a combination of bitter, tangy, and sour. Subtle coffee and bitter roasted malts flavors enter lastly as all previous flavors persist.
FEEL: Medium-bodied and subtly carbonated. Goes down smooth and creamy. Finishes with a subtle dryness.
NOTE: The raspberry jam flavors are extremely bitter and sour, but not in any way that is pleasant. This is my second beer from this brewery, and I can't say that I enjoyed this as much as I did the first.

L: black, with some garnet red at the edges, tan head.
S: peanuts dominate, some roasted malts and raspberry jam underneath
T: peanut butter and raspberry jam - they nailed that - but on burned toast. Some tartness from the Raspberries.
O: not a fan.
