A 473ml can from the brewery. Pours a dark reddish copper with a good creamy whitish head and moderate lacing. Aroma: caramel, toffee, hoppy aromas grassy with a hint of geapefruit. Flavour: The hopping is clean and well balanced with some NA citrus but not overwhelming the malts - some grassy herbal nobal hop flavours too. Noce complrxity znd bidy for s red.

Got this one at the LCBO this past summer
From a can into a snifter
IBU: 60
APPEARANCE: Pours a three finger, medium looking, creamy off-white head with excellent retention. Clear coper orange in color with next to no carbonation. Head fades to a full foamy, chunky cap with lots of foamy lacing. A slight wisp remains until the end leaving lots of foamy lacing down the glass. A little foamier than average, unfortunately.
SMELL: Caramel, toffee, melon notes and light hints of berries.
TASTE: Bready malts, caramel and toffee sweetness, with some fruity flavors at the swallow. Medium but lingering finish of toffee and caramel sweetness, melon flavors, some lemon notes and hop bitterness. Nice stuff overall.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a touch dry. Nice, creamy and full feel on this one.
OVERALL: Good stuff overall. More red ale than IPA, but the malt profile is nice and the smooth, creamy feel is well executed. The nose could use a little beefing up and the head is a little foamy, but everything else is enjoyable. Check it out if you get the chance. Cheers!

A beautiful looking and hearty drinking IPA. A nice hearty maltiness balances a well developed hop profile. Pours perfectly with a healthy head, not overly effervescent. Really enjoyable drinking beer that has a lot going for it. Something in the aroma leans a teeny bit skunky... Could not for the life of me find a date on the can

A-Not really red, more of an orange with an off white head that lingers
S-Lots of malt character, roasted crystal and woody aroma
M-Medium carbonation and mouthfeel
T-There is an alcoholic taste in the bitterness that is not particularly well balanced. The malt is nice and not too sweet. There is a dry character that acts to enhance the bitterness
O-This is an okay beer, not much more. The development of flavour is interesting, but lacks a spark.

This is a wonderful red IPA. And it is brewed about 30km from my house, so FRESH definitely comes to mind when enjoying this one. And the amber red colour is exquisite and that alone made my mouth water. This is a well made very enjoyable pint. Cheers.

A poor example of an American IPA. Not properly balanced. Tastes like Molson Canadian threw some random hops and food colouring in their so called "lager" (and yes, I am Canadian). I realize this is meant to be a different style of IPA but it's definitely not my "cup of tea".
Reddish colour (as the name suggests). Decent amount of carbonation. Not sure if this meant to be a hop forward to malt forward brew. I guess I've been drinking too many west coast IPAs and this doesn't come anywhere near that in terms of quality: look, taste and feel!
Unfortunately this is my first and last time trying this one. Creative marketing though!

A slightly cloudy copper, ruby amber, though a bit muddy unless held to the light. Small inch of tan head is sticky and resilient and yields a surprising amount of nice lacing for how small the head is to begin with. Darker and heavier looking than your typical IPA.
Very ale forward aroma, earthy hops, musty, sulphur. Rich malts, darker fruits.
Bitter hops of pine and resin, dried grapefruit rind with no sweetness. The hops fade out quickly. Sulphur and a metallic mineral like taste is evident. The malty sweetness here is not fruity, not citric, but more sap like and caramelized. Bitterness lingers on the tongue, semi-dry and a bit of a soapy texture on the finish.
While over-baked in some ways, it comes across as an english old world style bitter ale with a Canadian pine kick. darker colour, darker head, earthier flavours, more malt, this may not be a west coast IPA but there is a good beer here if you are expecting something more subdued hop wise, malty and mineral.
