Notes:
Collaboration with Dogfish Head Craft Brewery
Sagitarius B2N is a Saison brewed with Hibiscus, Grapefruit, and Lemon Juice and dry hopped with Amarillo hops.
The genesis of this collaboration was sparked when friend and Dogfish head founder, Sam Calagione sold our John Harris the brewhouse that Ecliptic uses today. We offer this special beer in celebration.

I enjoyed this celebration of summer on the second day of fall. Tulip from a bomber.
Look - beautiful golden, with foamy head that dissipated.
Smell - floral and farmhouse. on for style.
Taste - right on, saison. Not even my favorite style, but it was very enjoyable. I found it more floral than fruity. I actually forgot about the grapefruit that was supposed to be there. That was a subtler part of this beer for me.
Feel - Solid, maybe not spectacular. Well done, though.
Overall - this fit the moment and was quite an enjoyable saison. I don't think it was as distinctive as I was expecting, but the "special" flavors were subtle and enjoyable and nothing seemed out of balance.

Out of a bomber and into a tulip. Good head retention and a classic golden color to the beer. Soft, light and crisp aroma to it that definitely gives off the Grapefruit and Lemon Juice. Rather smooth going down and again light on the tongue as it goes down. The lemon really comes out on the back end but isn't sour. Overall a pretty tasty drink that I enjoyed thoroughly.

Seriously aromatic. Robust and full of flavor. The citrus is quite evident. There is a touch of bitter lemon peel flavor, and some yeasty bitterness for the finish. Mellow flavor of pears and caramel. Lots of warm malty, grainy taste.
When you first pour there is some foam and a veil of foam in the snifter. Just enough carbonation on the tongue, however, so it's plenty spritzy. Smells of lime peel and lemon curd. A darker taste with a sharp edge, and finishes with the Belgian yeasty flavor.
For my palate, there is plenty of hibiscus and more. But overall this is a fruity delight. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Railroad Market in Burlington, Washington. Just a little sediment in the bottle, which doesn't interfere with having several pours.

22oz Ecliptic bottle dated 07/29/15, poured into two tulips for tasting
A — Pours a clear and clean bright orange hue into the glass. Really light head dissipates quickly and disappears really. Just no head or lacing at all.
S — Smell is light and vibrant, there is a hint of lemon and grapefruit, but just a hint. There is some sweetness in there as well, the faintest hint of yeasty phenols also. Light for the style.
T — Taste is clean and crisp, with a little bit of a juicy grapefruit component. Really mild flavors and little to no yeast showcase, very mild overall in each aspect.
M — Medium bodied, there is a long enough finish here.
O — OK, really wanted more of a grapefruit and citrus kick, any hibiscus is not apparent, just so light in each regard.
