16oz can, canned 3 weeks ago
Pours a finger of white head into my Willi. Retention is average and the head fades within a minute or two. Lacing is pretty patchy, but decent. Body is a slightly cloudy orange-yellow. Looks ok.
Nose has a soft citrus character - orange, citrus rind. Not getting a whole lot else, smells ok.
Really not a whole lot going on for the flavor. Extremely faint fruit, some pepper/spice in the finish. This is very flavorless until it warms up and finally the spice and some pine come out a little more. This is ok I guess, but way better on draft.
Carbonation is pretty high. Barely any sweetness, incredibly crisp. Certainly has some body to it, but it drinks quite light. Bitterness asserts itself enough and adds some much needed character, but remains perfectly palatable. This is a really nice mouthfeel that makes up a lot of ground.
Drinkability is great.
Overall this is a pretty interesting beer. Not sure the last time I've seen a mouthfeel have this much effect on the profile, but the bitterness blends with the revitalized pine and makes for a characteristic all on its own. At the end of the day this works.

Mildly hazy, golden color; moderate amount of slow-rising carbonation; thick, white, long-lasting head; sticky rings and spidery fingers of foam caress the glass. Relatively mild aroma; muted yellow pome fruit tones; a little spicy / herbal hints. Light bread-like malt flavor with a dusting of mild sweetness and a nice moderate hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp and rather dry overall; ticklish on the palate.
A decent if unremarkable west coast style India pale ale.

Pours a hazy golden orange with two fingers of foamy head that dissipates to a thin cap with some lacing. Aroma of tangerine with a trace of pine. Taste follows nose.

Very tasty light lemon with some orange peel. Lush carbonation on the tongue. Warm and bright and utterly clear. A touch of malty sweetness. Aromatic with citrus, a touch of pear, and grain Plenty of foam on the amber brew in the Duvel chalice.Moderate bitter aftertaste but so clean. From the 16 oz can dated 02/09/22.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Golden pour, light cloudiness, thick, fluffy white head. Aroma is biscuity, grainy with light fruity, citrus notes. Taste is bready scented with faint orange, lemon and tangerine, and a tiny amount of bitterness. Super easy to drink.

Look: A nearly clear bright, almost reddish orange with a formidable head that balloons up and holds well, slowly receding and leaving a sticky coating of lacing behind
Aroma: I could smell it on the pour. Tangerines, lemon, lime, some pine, Juicy Fruit gum, powdered-sugar-coated strawberries, blueberry, papaya, some Cannabis, mango, and sweet bready malt
Taste: Starts out with a rush of crushed pine needles and sap and is quickly followed by a full-blown citrus fruit salad that hits at once. Waves of mixed berries join the fray along with some tropical fruit and malt tries to keep it all in check with only limited success
Mouthfeel: Full, light slickness, medium-high carbonation, and a moderately dry finish
Overall: This is some really delicious stuff. These folks’ offerings have always jived with me and Starburst is a regular in my beer fridge so wanted to try this one a lot and I can say, it’s awesome. A tasty WCIPA with a great mix of hoppy flavors, a nice bite, some dryness, and a good malt base to support it all – oh, and in a sweet spot ABV-wise at 6.5%. Yep, I’m in and can recommend this one as well

another delicious ipa from these guys, sort of a mosaic bomb in the classic sense, canned pineapple and cat pee make it identifiable as such, but the simcoe adds some citrus and bitterness that i think are needed, and this feels both drinkable and substantial at the same time to me. a pretty pale brew from the tap with a light orange color to it and just a little less than fully clear, still glowing all sunny under an inch of white head, nice looking pint. it smells mosaic forward, oily and sticky and kind of weedy too, not exceedingly bitter or anything, and without any vegetal character either, light coconut and pink grapefruit from the other hops, perhaps a lick of green onion and orange candy, and then some malt sweetness in the middle as well, very pleasant. the flavor is the same as the nose, lots of hop layers and some residual sugar from start to finish really extending this and accentuating the fruitiest aspects of the hop profile. i taste it for a long time after each sip too, peaches and pineapples, citrus candy, rock candy, lightly herbal too with just enough bitterness for balance. fresh malt flavor in this is welcomed, the oily feel with the high carbonation from the tap is killer, and its pretty consistent in the can too. it seems like all of a sudden in the last few weeks here in idaho ecliptic has come on strong, more than ever in the bars and the stores, and i am loving it. they have been a low key favorite for awhile, and all this access has been wonderful! always so well done and distinctive, this one is yummy.
