On tap at Acme Bar and Pizza in Rochester, NY.

Pours a dark crimson red into a Bud Light pitcher. Not much head or lacing, probably due to the pour. When I pour into a pint glass, it forms a very small head.

Smells like Belgian yeast, candi sugar, rum, and brown sugar.

The taste is very similar. Slightly boozy, with lots of brown sugar and rum flavors, along with some slightly overwhelming Belgian yeast flavors. Slightly one note, and a bit boozy, even though it's only 6.5% ABV.

Medium bodied, medium carbonation, crisp mouthfeel.

Not one of Abandon's best beers, but not horrible.

I'd call this either a dubbel or a Belgian dark ale, mine just want pale.

This was a ruby tinted amber color, it came with a thick frothy head.

This lacked some of the fruity complexities of a great dubbel, but I really liked this regardless. Lots of sugary rum and caramel plus some floral warmth. A bit sweeter than I prefer, this still went down easily. I doubt I ever will, but I hope get a chance to try more from these guys.
