Grumbler pour into a tulip. Filled within the hour.
A: Pours a mostly clear light amber gold with a solid white head on top. Not the most visible carbonation but this is a growler. Real nice lacing on the sides of the glass.
S: Light fruit and belgian qualities. Yeast is present along with a light plum or grape. Malts make up the backend adding a bit of toastiness.
T: Well crafted brew here with a breadth of flavor. Starts off with a heavy grain quality from the rye. Solid breadiness and cracker tones. After swallowing the saison roots show up with a mildly fruity belgian yeast. Aftertaste has a bit of sweetness.
M: Medium body with a smooth creamy mouthfeel. Really something you could session on. Finish is clean with just a touch of lingering stickiness.
Overall its great to see a new brewery tackle a style as particular as a rye saison. This one shines is something I would get again.

On tap at Abandon Brewing Company in Penn Yan, NY.
This one pours a light amber-ish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells mostly like white pepper and rye, with not much else going on.
This is decent, but it kind of also feels like Homebrew Saison 101. The rye is a nice touch, and I enjoy the peppery yeast, but I'd want more interesting malt or hop character, and a bit more of a clear expression from the yeast.
This is light bodied, crisp, and fairly clean, with a normal level of carbonation.
This is decent but honestly quite boring.
