Bock with reddish-amber hue and fluffy fading foam head. Malty aroma and taste of malty brown sugar and caramel with tones of fig and dried fruit with mild hoppy balance.

Pours clear, red/brown in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is big pale malt, husk, and brown sugar. Light bodied, slightly bitter, with moderate carbonation. Beer gets better as it warms. Makes for a sessionable, above average bock.

A: The beer is clear reddish amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down, leaving a large collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of toasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of toasted malts, but there are notes of earthy yeast and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is nice and malty but doesn't seem that heavy on the palate because there is a good amount of underlying hops.

I was excited to buy this if for no other reason than it had the Shreveport Mudbugs Hockey logo on the label. The beer itself was a nice sessionable bock that could be crushed for 3 periods of a hockey game.
