Himburgs Braukunstkeller GmbH "Bavarian Dry Hop Lager"
on tap at The German Society of Pennsylvania Bierfest 2018
Notes: Hazy golden body beneath a large head of pillowy, then creamy, white foam. Good head retention and very good lacing. Median aroma of citrus, floral, earth, and gentle pine. The flavor follows but much fuller. Median bitterness of about 30 IBUs and dry in finish with a kind of generic mixture of hops lingering. Medium leaning towards medium-light in body and crisp with a standard carbonation level. Overall it could be more hoppy but the Germans don't seem ready to go there quite yet. Still, it's a first step, and nicely done.

A: The beer is hazy dark yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, consistently leaving a short head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of yeast are present in the nose along with notes of grassy hops.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of yeast along with notes of bready and grainy hops as well as hints of grassy malts. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little "chewy" on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer smells and tastes very yeasty, almost like a kellerbier.

Pours hazy, golden brown in color with 1/3 inch head. Taste is pear, dough, dark wheat, touch of citrus hops and mineral. Medium bodied, slightly sweet, with low carbonation. Makes for a unique and interesting sipper. Different from most of the German beers I have had. Glad I got this and will probably get this again.

Yields a foggy, bright golden color with a superfluffy, big, white head.
Smells of juicy orange, some lime zest, sweet malts and wet hay. Offers ripe mango and fresh watered grass and crackers, while staying light and interesting on the nose.
Offers a very light body, together with a lively carbonation. The hops pleasantly add complexity, they are not able to hide a watery finish.
Tastes of oranges from the very beginning, dough, pleasantly bitter lemons and a bubbly metallic quality. The effervescent refreshment defines the beers mid palate, complimented by a herbal hop bite and sweet mango, together with some hay. Finishes with a soft watery quality, with nothing else prevailing.
Very interesting, light and fruity with a bready, malty backbone, finishing too light unfortunately.

Slightly hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is really fresh and hoppy with floral and citrus notes. Taste starts with fruity hops, continues with a clean malt profile and finishes dry with a light to medium bitterness. Body is on the light side with crisp carbonation. A really nice hoppy pils.
