This beer is a response to the very bitter beers that are brewed worldwide. The description IPA is not here for India Pale Ale but for Incredible, Powerful & Amazing . Instead of mostly American hops we use 7 Flemish hopping from the Flanders Fields.
Obviously we taste a beer that is very bitter here but one that does in " balance "is so drinkable and is inviting to the next ....

Pours a hazed golden color with a white soapy froth that has excellent retention. The aroma is full of estery, Belgian yeast and earthy, herbal hops. The yeast has a bit of fruityness like peach or pear.

In the taste, more of the fruity, lightly spicy yeast and hops coming in with more spicy herb, pine, and citrus. There are elements of damp hay, bubblegum, white pepper, and chai tea from the hop/yeast interaction and the European pale malts used in brewing.

Smooth, medium to full bodied ale with a good medium-high level of carbonation. The finish is relatively clean and moreish if anything.

Overall, this is a really smooth Belgian IPA that has a lot more yeast character than American versions of the style. It takes away from the hops alittle bit, which is fine with me but may put others off. Just a hopped up Belgian pale.

Pours a cloudy light amber, with small head. Lacing is very good.

Aroma packs hops and malts in equal measure, very appealing. Perhaps a touch of artificial sweetness, but not too significant.

Taste follows suit, bold hops, tamed by the malty flavour. A little bitterness at the finish which lingers into the aftertaste.

Refreshing on the palette, very easy to drink and hides the 7%abv very well. Uber Quaffable.

Overall a very solid and well balanced brew. Not exceptional in any one department, but equally unable to fault it. 4/5 all day long.

L- Deep amber slightly hazy and pours with a 1Cm white head. (ps. Holding up fine + lacing near the end 15mins later).
S- It has a piquant brightness to it, and some toasty notes.
T- Bright hops, that build and build then right on cue some rich body appears, with a final minor dry zing in the finish. The hopping is trad; so no citrus/fruity/wha'eva other weird modern hop-bomb drama going on here, this one is more sophisticated.
F- It's nice. It's notably hoppy but trad hops, ie hops that taste like hops used to before genetic modding came along. As the Description suggests, this has *balance*, the 7% ABV helps underpin decent and balancing rich side here.
O- IPA, and over to the hoppier side of things but doing it in a mature and balanced way. No hop-hammering, squint inducing bitter-beer challenges or youthful misplaced lychee, grapefruit or whatever else nightmare concepts. So yes, I like it :)

Pours a golden amber color, somewhat cloudy and with a well retaining head.
A pleasant aroma that is earthy and fruity. Aromas of melon, peach and citrus, both hoppy and watery, are complimented by notes of grass and peppery spice.
The taste opens with a full cracker and bready malt backbone, moderately sweet yet with that well attenuated Belgian dryness. The malt allows the hops and yeast to shine, both in good balance with each other. As the hops flavors open up, they impart a moderate but assertive bitterness, grassy and floral flavors and citrus, orange and grapefruit brightness. Estery notes of melon and peach, along with modrrate peppery phenols.
Medium bodied, well balanced and with a lively carbonation. Typically dry Belgian finish, lightly peppery, yet with a crisp citrus hops IPA quality.
I thought this was a very tasty Belgian IPA and I’m surprised its ratings are so low. Sure it’s not a juicy hazy hops bomb, however, it shows a great balance of Belgian and classic IPA qualities.

From the one year beyond it's best by date bottle, it pours a hazy amber with a minimal head, although it struggles to leave some lacing. Pleasant Flemish hop scent in the nose. The mouth gets an ever so slightly bitter taste, not unpleasant, with a lingering light hop flavor. Interesting.

Continental hop aromas. Spicy, grassy. Not pungent. No cat pee. Just pleasant. A bitter kick but not too much. Belgian malt sweetness. Hoppy Belgian ale. Ok but not great.

A: Copper with swirls of rusty yeast within like hurricane from a satellite. Topped with 3 fingers of yellow beige head.

S: Pineapple candy, pine, light black pepper.

T: Citrus, turpentine, pineapple, gold, light pine, big dull bitter finish.

M: Thick and syrupy with lots of foamy carbonation.

O: Ok as in an 8 out of 10 Belgian IPA. Love the picture of Jesus drinking beer with his disciples on the label. Got in Kunming, drank here April 16th, 2015.

Yellow, amber, slightly turbid.
The head of a large fine bubble with a few larger holes. Glass paints quite a long time.
The aroma of tropical fruits are very faint floral notes and hop.
The taste, however, is a big hit of bitterness (80 IBU) and for the moment there are touches of fruity, floral and something like dried tobacco. Each sip of sour ending to finish a raise. Gentian, which Verdomme Hop is its backbone is dry, grassy, long, long and long.
Behind and slightly pulls. To sum up, cool IPA has helped me digest disputes dinner.
