Hazy deep gold in color. Nose was ripe tropical fruit. Palate was a ton of papaya and tropical starburst candy. Some dankness on the backend. Thoroughly enjoyable.

This one did taste a bit complicated in a bad way. Drinkable bug not much flavor, moved on after just one of these. Not terrible but why do another of this one.

Look - deep golden orange, hazy, nice white head, good lacing
Smell - spicy, herbal, pine resin, ripe papaya
Taste - spicy, melon, tangerine, papaya, pine resin
Feel - medium body, moderate carbo, citrus rind bitterness
Overall - Ozzy said everyone's happy when the Wizard walks by and I agree. Very tasty brew. Ripe tropical fruits, herbal cannabis, some pine resin, spice and citrus rind bitter finish are in play here. Delightful! Pair her up with The Wizard by Black Sabbath and enjoy.

Pours translucent amber. Hazy but not completely opaque. Rocky head with fine bubbles. Not a lot to distinguish it on the nose, but the aroma is pleasant enough. Taste is much more involving, with orange and other citrus and a decent amount of balancing bitterness. Good mouthfeel, being neither thin nor too creamy, and the 8% ABV is hidden well.

2-month old can poured into a tulip glass.

Vermont-style hazy look, with a pretty orange-gold coloring and moderate haze that provides an appealing glow. Big, pillowy head of white foam that looked like it would stick around and/or leave some substantial lacing, but it collapsed pretty quick and left minimal splotchy lacing. Still an attractive looking beer.

Maybe being a 2-month-old shelfy is at play, but the nose is incredibly mild, especially for an 8% beer. What’s there is fruity (citrus and tropical) and dank, with heavy breadiness and a little pith. Just not a lot to go on.

Taste goes back to Vermont with a pleasant juiciness but not over the top. Some nice bitterness, resin, and citrus peal for balance. Quite dank but not weedy, with a semi-sweet finish. Some berry and vineous notes, as well. Very pleasant and goes down easy. Definitely doesn’t drink like an 8% beer.

Silky and smooth with a delightful stickiness that provides a wonderful coating quality without any type of chewiness. Pleasant pithy and semi-sweet finish.

Pours a rich opaque gold and a thick head. Taste is sharp, with a deep pine resin upfront and a dank earthy finish

Lil long in the tooth, canned 6/21 poured 8/24 opaque orange haze. Mild fruity aroma as this pour with a fresh head dissipating quickly leaving soapy lace. Weird fruity dank and am not sure I like it. Very musky and overblown fruit, weed. A lot going on.

Out of a can, was a relatively flat pour minimal head, but still seemed to have strong carbonation. Very hazy, had to move a knife to within 1/2 inch of my glass to see it.

On the nose I get a sweet tropical fruit, nothing specific maybe a blend of a few smells. A bit of pine shows through the background.

The taste was dank, fulsome, decent bitterness, some pine. The flavor lasted a good time, and gradually moved from dank to a pungent sweetness and a stronger bitter profile.

good mouth feel, it felt full with a long lasting flavor.

i had a couple cans from these guys back to back at a restaurant that both seemed less than ideally fresh and a little sloppy, this one even sort of over engineered, tons and tons of grain in here, and even though the beer isnt sweet, its starchy and heavy and really a pint can of this is a lot to get through, especially without max freshness. an orange tone to this, really hazy, grain soup looking from the can, frothy slowly settling inch of white head on top of it. the aroma here is the best part, some definite tropical fruit notes and danky weed elements, papaya and mango, grape candy and rainbow skittles, oily herbal intensity, some bitterness and greenness too. the grain is earthy and supports the hops well, but this is really heavy, a little alcoholic too which adds to that. the flavors are melted down a little bit, faded to me slightly, still tropical, a hint of apricot, peach, and pineapple. i get some late bitterness and spice, its approaching harsh, and with a little weirdness or stress in the ferment it seems off a bit. its crazy how highly rated this and some of their others are, i really must have missed on freshness although i didnt see can dates, because neither of the two i had hit anywhere near the great level others seem to have put them at. this one was a belly bomb, an almost permanent decision on my palate, and obviously lacking refinement in a style where thats part of the deal, its even past that point. ive liked some of their stuff before, but this recent dip into a few hazy ones was disappointing. too aggressive for nice food too. ill check them out again next time back up that way...
