This beer tastes like a canned home brew. The only way you could be enthusiastic about it would be if one of your friends was brewing it and you did not have the heart to tell him/her that it is not good. Definitely a beer to be avoided.

16oz can, sample from the brewery.

Mildly hazed deep golden hue, froth puts on a show. Orange zest, lime leaf, passion fruit, white tea, and faint parsley in the nose. Smooth and crisp, kiss of caramel with a wave of hop bitterness. Citrus rind and mild tobacco, tea and tropical fruit on the palate. The malt base is a bit bready, warming alcohol hits in the middle with a bit of spice. A bit rustic and in your face but still very enjoyable.

Look at a bunch of recent reviews of this beer...the way people describe the look is ALL over the map...some saying "next to clear" and some saying "super clouded"...so confused...

My can pours super clouded...looks like a pineapple, mango yogurt smoothie...larger light oatmeal head, lasts nicely and leaves gobs of thick lacing and fluff all over the glass.

Soft and citric nose

On the palate its NE IPA juice bomb all the way with more pineapple and ripe grapefruit in the drivers seat...perhaps a bit on the thin side, but nothing to be concerned about this is tasty, complex and highly enjoyable in a tropical fruitalicious kinda way

Tall can...2/15/17

On tap at Burlington Beer Company in Williston, VT.

This one pours a light golden orange amber color, basically clear, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like bitter resinous hops, sweet malt, and a hint of grapefruit.

This doesn't work for me. I enjoyed it, but it doesn't feel all that carefully constructed. It kind of tastes like some of the bad batches of Heady that occasionally pop up- the hops are mostly bitter, almost astringent, and this does not meld well with the very sweet malt backbone. It's not always easy to drink.

This is medium bodied, with a definite lingering bitterness.

I expected a lot more out of this one- it's just average, with nothing to set it apart from the other awesome beers in the area.

poured a nice cloudy orange into a tulip glass and i immediately picked up some nice tropical notes on the nose...mostly pineapple. the taste maintained a faint citrus sweetness but had very little hop bite. Drank smooth but in comparison to other New England IPA's this one falls a little short in the hops category

Thanks goes out to larryi86 for this brew.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 060818
ABV: 8%

My first from this brewery.

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger off-white head, which leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, peach, apricot), slight diesel like. The taste is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, peach, apricot), slight diesel like, Medium body, ABV is hidden very well, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew. Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Orange Julius! Addictive! Milkshake!. Thanks Larry!

L: A hazy amber ale with fine bubbles creating a creamy off-white head. There is a good head stand when poured with a long retention and a good amount of lacing.

S: A strong citrus nose with some melon and a light bit of candy sugar. low floral alcohol sweetness as well.

T: A strong bitterness and fairly strong citrus hops flavor dominate. There is little malt sweetness making for a balance that is very bitter. An aftertaste of citrus and citrus peel linger long into the finish.

M: A medium strong level of carbonation and medium light bodied beer.

O: A very enjoyable double.

16 oz. Can "Alohamora" 8/9/17 8.0 % abv.

A standard New England Style DIPA with the vetyppry cloudy yellow and white hued gold. 3" high, white bubnly foam tower. Slow dissipation. Chunky and impressive lace.

Earthy and grainy citrus fruit hoppy aroma. Sweet tropical fruity edge to the hops that makes this just right on for the style. Light, crisp and sweet malty backdrop tonround out the nose.

Ahhhh...that full and unfiltered chunky body and flavor of the NESDIPA! Full of robust citrus and light tropical fruits, slightly earthy and grainy but certainly dominated by a full-on fruity hop attack. Sour and tangy notes pop out later with a very nice, dry and bitter hoppy finish. Pine, earthy, dry leafy hop thing happens in a more mild fashion but comes out enoughbto keep the hop complexity pretty high. The classically light and sweet malt delivers an excellent balance for the style, doing it's job well as just a support team for the hops.

It's not easy to stand out among all of the seriously high quality NE style Dipa's or Ipa's these days. The market is saturated by these styles and approach. Manybof them falling somewhere right in the middle of the pack. This is a very high quality DIPA, does it stand out stylewise....no. Highly enjoyable and would most likely blow the socks off of anyone not familiar with the style.

Hazy golden color, off-white head. Aroma reminds me of kaki fruits, melon, even a bit of fresh pumpkin. Taste is really hoppy but more in the grassy, resiny area. Quite bitter and abrasive on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. A really good IPA with an interesting hop profile.

Pours an opaque creamy gold color with a one finger silky bone white head that does not leave much lacing.

The aroma is sweet and tropical with guava and orange notes, very strong. Love it!

Taste is similar but with some floral notes that could fall under "orange blossom". Malt is low and lending to the sweetness while the bitterness is moderate, coming out midway through and remaining in the finish along with the orange notes.

Feel is very soft and creamy.

This is a fantastic example of a thick NEIPA. The nose and flavors are clean and very pleasant, feel is just right, and there is enough bitterness to add something to the profile. Love it! The last few I've had from these guys are making me a huge fan now. I will be coming back for more.

On tap at the brewery. Served in a taster. Bright orange and hazy. Smell is tropical fruits and lemon hops. Strong pale malt sweet aroma. Tastes strongly of lemon hops. Sweet honey takes over. A little cloying. Overly sweet and heavy. Was hoping for better things here.
