This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking hazy bronzed orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than about forty seconds. The smell started off with a spicy rye running into light citrus notes and leading into a sly caramel malt. The taste was semi-sweet and somewhat bitter, decently hoppy and slightly sweet through caramel and rye malts. A sly sweet to spicy rye to caramel aftertaste leads into a semi-crisp rye finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation runs evenly on the tongue and allows the rye to penetrate as it should for the bitterness level. Overall, good rye/IPA that I would have again.

On tap at Burlington Beer Company in Williston, VT.

This one pours a slightly hazed golden orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

Smells like really spicy rye, with orange, tangerine, and grapefruit- it's really quite juicy.

The rye is almost overwhelming in this, it leaves a very spicy and lingering taste in your mouth. Luckily, I like rye, but I could see this getting overwhelming for some people. The hop flavor is awesome- juicy, vibrant, and bright- with orange and tangerine leading the way, with some grapefruit as well.

This is lighter bodied, with a crisp mouthfeel, and a very bitter lingering finish.

If the finish was cleaned up slightly, this would be up there with the big boys in the state.

16 oz can. Cloudy pale yellow orange with finger white head, good retention and scattered lacing. Light malt aroma, floral hops, a little peppery spice. Tastes like it smells, sweet with some dank floral earthy hops and a rye peppery kick. Very dry finish. Overall good rye ipa.
