Poured from a 16oz can dated 12/23/20. Pours cloudy, orangish color with minimal head - what little appears quickly recedes. Very subtle fruity and bright flavoring. Nicely done and another good one from Burlington.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Bradford's in Plymouth for about fourteen dollars. Have had a few brews from these guys before. Very nice brew, enjoyed my elevator ride.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, white head of fluffy foam. Some sudsy trails of lace on the glass. Sweet juice aroma - pineapple, grapefruit and orange. Sweet tropical fruit taste with a toasted caramel backbone and sharp bitter bite.

Pint can poured in to a nonic glass. No can dating.

Look- Murky golden straw colort, decent off white head that slowly recedes to a thin foam cap, ample lacing. Little to no carbonation streaming as it sits.

Smell- Big citrus (orange, grapefruit, lemon and lime), tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, papaya and passion fruit), nectarine/peach, a bit of melon and dank, grainy malt, little pine, some herbal/floral notes.

Taste- Seriously juicy citrus and tropical fruit, nectarine and peach, some melon, honey and grainy malt, negligible pine and some other herbal/floral hop notes.

Feel- Heavier side of medium bodied, soft and creamy, somewhat sweet and sticky up front with a lingering lightly bitter finish. Moderate/light carbonation on the tongue.

O- Another high quality NE hazy, this is killer. Definitely worth checking out.

Damn this beer is good. Took a long walk with the dogs, sitting outside in late april, sunny 58 degrees. Homebound and then I pop this baby open. Double hop explosion, strong and beautiful hop essence. Does this brewery not make any great beer? They have reached a summit with this one. Thank you everyone at BBC.

A delicious subtle double IPA with a light pour, a potent aroma, and a sharp, but easy to drink bite to it. One of the best Double IPA’s I’ve had in a long time.

A: Pours an orange-yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap

S: Lots of dank hops up front along with some lighter citrus and floral notes

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with a mix of the dank, floral, and citrusy hops and then picks up a light sweetness and bready malt. Dankness underlies the entire profile

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A very good DIPA that blends west coast and NE IPAs and takes it next level. Super drinkable for 8.3%. Definitely worth checking out

Simply put, Burlington Beer Co.'s Orbital Elevator is the best double NEIPA I've enjoyed in a long time and is possibly the best beer that I've tried this summer. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a typical pint glass, Orbital takes on a more-than-hazy stature, producing a white head and lacing that did not last for long. Although there are fruity elements, there is a dankness that adds a more serious nature to the experience. Bolstered by a solid 8.3% ABV and oats, Orbital presents an impressive mouthfeel that allows all flavors to make a positive mark. This an NEIPA soaring to a new, challenging level.

Can. Pours thick and turbid. Opaque. Milky. If you want it to look like a hazy bitch, here it is. Aroma is nice. Fruit juice medley. Decent intensity. Doesn't jump out of the glass but it definitely slowly rises out, like steam. Pineapple, guava, etc. Flavor is tasty but I actually enjoy the aroma a bit more. Flavor starts off a little astringent and bitter; the fruit flavors are stuck behind. They end up arriving but it's a surprise to smell a blended fruit aroma and be met with a chalky, aspirin, initial hit of flavor. There is a lot to like with this beer but the flavor upon first sip isn't it's strong point.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy pale yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral citrusy notes with tropical notes and dank hop notes is quite nice. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hops undertones with tropical notes and some dank undertones with light residual sugar notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Well brewed double NEIPA.

Medium-gold grapefruit juice-looking beer with a finger or two of head... Brewed with oat malt and flaked oats, and Mosaic, El Dorado, and Simcoe hops; 8.3% abv, 10/9 canning... Plenty of floral citrus and herbal pine melded together to present an earthy and oat-forward New England-style ale with a backdrop of tropical fruit impressions... Very nice...

Appearance: Pours a cloudy honey color with a one finger cap; splotchy lace

Smell: Tropical tones overwhelmed by pith and pine

Taste: A hint of papaya but the grapefruit pith and pine flavors overwhelm the middle palate; the finish has a bit of onion, as well

Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy, with moderate carbonation

Overall: A bit too rough around the edges for my palate

Pours a cloudy/hazy grapefruit juice gold. Head is about a finger and it lasts a while before break. Not much left behind, and no real lacing. Still...the color.

Smell is citrus and tropicals, though it's tough to get more specific than that. There is also an earthy smell at the end.

Taste brings the tropical and citrus through stronger. I get grapefruit pith, some tropicals, and then nice flavor from the oats.

Feel is medium weight, with average carbonation. I wouldn't call it dry, but dryish. Finish is piney and lingers. Very nice.

A nice beer, the oats really add to the texture and flavor. I've never been a fan of the oats in IPAs,but here it works quite well.

L: light wheat goldish. Very small head, maybe 1/2 inch. Gorgeous, like a fresh pulpy light grapefruit/orange juice.

S: lots of fruit aromas. Somewhat tropical, not as much citrus as some other VT ipas, but a little bit of grapefruit. There's also pine scent, which is prevalent in Mosaic doubles. There's a grain-like smell too, which could be from the oats? A little sweetness too.

T: Delicious taste. Hoppy double IPA but not particularly bitter. You can definitely taste the grain/oats once swallowed which really cuts down on any bite. Most of the fruit impressions really are on the scent side, but I don't notice them from a taste perspective as much as some other folks seem to.

F: Just a superb feel to this beer. It's quite light, medium/low carbonation, not very dry either. This makes it really easy to drink!

O: One of my favorite Doubles around. I'm not sure if it is the mouthfeel, the oats, or the visual appeal, but this is one that I will always pick up if available at the Co-op.

Pours an opaque creamy gold color, like liquid butterscotch. A frothy bone white 2 finger head leaves sheeting lace on the way down.

The aroma is heavenly with intense, rich orange blossom and passion fruit notes.

The flavor follows the smell with a creamy punch of tropical fruits up front that slowly fades into a lingering moderate bitterness. There's so much density and richness here it is difficult to get a tack on any malt but this has a semi-sweet base to it.

The feel is like thick orange juice, very soft with a little stickiness on the lips.

Wow, this is just a fantastic offering from a brewery that already has won me over. This one could be my new favorite - too bad I have to drive 3 hours to find some. It is the quintessential NEIPA in my book, though the extra bitterness in there is not as common but really balances it off well.

Consumed 12/10/17

A: Tangerine gold with a lot of yellow, could pass for a pale orange juice - very hazy, turbid - pours with a small, off-white head, fades to a small collar and leaves some streaks of lacing

S: Very hoppy, with Mosaic for days - bright citrus, with some tangerine, orange, and grapefruit flesh and touches of zest - floral zest - herbal, green hops and hop pellets - Mosaic is very obvious with its sharp, tropical pine aroma - tropical overall, with some mango and pineapple - some juicy peach as well - not much in terms of malts, just a faint pale base

T: Juicy - tangerine and orange juice with a splash of grapefruit, ruby red grapefruit flesh - floral and lightly spicy citrus - green and herbal hops, lightly dank - peach, mango, guava, tropical fruit flesh - some pale malts and some oats at the base - very low sweetness - low bitterness, too - lingering notes of tropical fruit

M: Medium body, low carbonation, very chewy and silky from the oats, lingering hops in the finish

O: What about a Great Glass Elevator?

Burlington Beer Company wasn't always about the haze, but they jumped on the bandwagon quickly with some great results. If I had to compare this to anything, Tree House's Alter Ego comes to mind, and I would consider that a compliment. It's a touch rough around the edges but definitely worth trying.

Poured into a 13 oz Tired Hands Teku glass canned on 10/04/17. Pours like a glass of pineapple orange juice and that is a good thing these days, with a nice 2 finger sticky white head that leaves tons of lace behind, like a wall.

Smell is guava, mango, passion fruit, pineapple, tangerine, and some grapefruit rind.

Taste tropical frontbto finish, guava, passion fruit, pineapple, and some juicy grapefruit.

Mouthfeel is a big medium, gentle carbonation, not dry but a little stick from a insane amount of fresh hops, and crazy drinkable.

Overall this is another amazing NEDIPA, that leaves me wanting the next sip immediately after the last one, incredible stuff.
