one of my favorite beers i have had all year, a wild saison with dandelion flowers and a special one shared with us by our awesome neighbors, who brought it back from north carolina, knowing i would love it. its super pale beer, almost green yellow in color, fizzy white head settling back fast and rather dense looking with sediment for its ultra low alcohol content. i like this being so low, and i have liked it in other fonta flora beers. it smells absolutely amazing, i get the yellow polleny dandelion flowers right away, like almost pulpy, so fresh, it really is forward. behind it are subtle tea notes, bacterial tartness and wild funkiness, i am starting to get to know their house culture a bit, and i really appreciate it in this one, so floral and farmy, perfect with the dandelion. the flavor is the same as the nose, incredibly use of the flowers, they really lead the flavor journey, some bitterness, an herbaceous intensity, almost like the dandelion greens too, some hops as well, very compatible, and the rustic funk, which makes this for me. the flowers are so natural and fresh, its one of a kind. dry and sort of oaty or something, raw unmalted wheat maybe, its pretty subtle on the malt, bone dry, but some structure for sure too. nice carbonation, it sings on the palate giving even more life to these flowers. a total highlight of the beer year for me so far, amazing stuff, unforgettably delicious and impossibly unique!

Appearance - Pours very light yellowish with thin white head that quickly dissipates.
Aroma - Very light citrus aroma, light funk not getting much else.
Taste - Nice tart lemon, just a hint of funk, light bready flavor with a nice floral finish.
Feel - Light bodied, well carbonated tart dry finish.
Overall - A really tasty light beer.
