Taster at Scott's Addition location. Mahogany pour, with a few bubbles. Aroma is malty, pumpkin, light pie spice. Taste is malty, yeasty, pumpkin flesh. Pumpkin works well with the Dubbel base.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook, poured into a snifter glass. Had a copper-brown color and a slightly hazy texture. There was a half inch of foamy, off white head that lasted an average amount of time. Good lacing.

S: A decent enough aroma of pumpkin, spices, malt, candi sugar, Belgian yeast, and vanilla.

T: Tasted of a bit of Belgian-style yeast, some malt, a bit of pumpkin, a good shot of spices (cinnamon, especially), light vanilla notes, and candi sugar. An interesting take on the style, basically combining a pumpkin beer with a dubbel. It's focused mainly on the spices, but the other ingredients could've used a boost. Not bad, though.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth, light finish. Light-bodied.

O: An uneven beer, but one with potential. Drinkable.

Poured a copper-esque color with no head or lace to speak of. Not a bad pumpkin ale but really light and almost watery in both aroma and taste. Smells/tastes of pumpkin pie with emphasis on sweetness with cinnamon and nutmeg and finishes easy. The beer is just too light for these flavors to stick and there isn't much else going on.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a slightly hazy, orange-caramel coloring, with a filmy, white halo of head. Nose of sweet pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg spice, vanilla highlights, and a bready backbone. Flavors are spice blended forward, with rich pumpkin and cream to follow. Very bready backbone. Delicious. Smooth, mid-bodied, with a vanilla sweet and pumpkin bread aftertaste. Smooth, slick finish, with a spiced sweet finish. Very good.
