Another repurposed light industrial space in Scott's Addition. Simple, sparse interior, but roomy. Music and TVs going. No parking issues. Fast, friendly service. Flights, nice variety.

Visit on a Friday evening about 6pm. The place was dead.
Located in the trendy Scott's Addition area of Richmond. You'll want to visit because Veil and at least two other breweries and a distillery are all within eight square blocks.
Open, clean, bright, refurbished industrial warehouse. A decent selection. I had the porter when I was there. I think these guys get overlooked because everyone wants to go to Veil, but they've been around about two years longer than the Veil. They just didn't lean into the hazy IPA craze. A solid brewery.

Awesome, incredibly underrated brewery in a hotspot of craft breweries. Great location, far enough from downtown that crime is low but close enough that a an Uber from the city is cheap and enough parking if you want to drive yourself. They frequently have food trucks outside as well so there's a cool variety of food options nearby. The workers are super friendly, service is quick, and there's plenty of seating. Their claim to fame is their Choosy Mother Peanut Butter Porter but they have a pretty unique selection, albeit rather small. Mostly uniquely flavored fruity ales. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone in the area, especially if you're a fan of sweet ales and porters!

V: Isley has a much smaller space than expected, but generally well laid out. There's a small bar area, as well as a few seats and tables in the middle of the space. It gets crowded and can get cramped (quite a few people bring their dogs, so be prepared for that). A food truck usually lurks outside, too. A solid layout.
Q: A decent level of quality here - nothing stale to be had.
S: The service was very friendly and prompt, though I didn't ask any beer-related questions of them.
S: They had about 15 beers on-tap: A couple of Belgian whites, some IPAs, a couple of brown ales, a pair of porters (including Choosy Mother), and stout. An interesting array of beers. One caveat: They serve beers in plastic cups. This should stop.

Not one of my favorites in terms of overall quality of beer but not anything bad. When I went beer was served in plastic cups on a Saturday night. I get it if you're afraid of glasses walking away or cleaning up broken glasses but I prefer to note drink from solo cups when trying a beer for the first time. Definitely a very friendly neighborhood vibe. Very cool space, large area out back for corn hole etc. Worth checking out.

I had a good experience with this place overall. Selection was fairly well varied across the board, as in there seemed to be a little something for most every taste. Looked like a nice system for serving flights as well (I didn't, but several around me did. Place was spacious enough to accommodate several without being so big as to lose any sense of intimacy.

Stripped down ambiance in an old warehouse district that's revitalizing. Quality of the beers is moderate with a few standouts (though the highly rated peanut butter beer tasted chemical and thin to me). Service was friendly and selection broad enough with 8 - 10 taps. Caters more to locals looking for a watering hole than the true beer geek.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy, including family events like face painting and cartoon portraitists (don't know if this is a common occurrence or if I showed up on a special event). Still found a seat at the bar and watched a baseball game so felt like being at a sports bar. Service was quick if not talkative (didn't try my hardest to talk beer, mind you) and there are a decent amount of taps here; beers I had, including the "famous" peanut butter porter, are not bad but nothing stood out.
