On tap for the 2014 Los Angeles Vegan Beer Festival held in West Hollywood, CA.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy beige head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus zest, and herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and slight herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty but simple in my opinion.

sometimes you dont want to be blown away or challenged by your beer, you just want to drink it, and this is a perfect example of exactly that. on tap at sessions in san francisco, this crystal clear honey colored american pale ale is true to style, robustly flavored, magically fresh, but also something i have more or less tasted before, and more of a head turner for its quality than for its flavor profile, which is squarely in line with what one should expect in the style, especially made in california. pretty beer though, creamy tall white head with great retention and a nose and flavor of fresh sliced grapefruit and a little spruce. cool blend of hops on this, and a lot more in the dry hopping and late kettle than on the bittering side of things, as the pungently hoppy aroma doesnt translate into the most intense hop flavor or bite on the back end. pale malt base is fresh and very clean, nice job fermenting this all the way down to near bone dry. highly charged carbonation helps it a lot too, easy drinking because of it, even though the body is still in that medium range. great patio beer, very well made, has me interested in their other hoppy beers because this is quality.

This poured a clear amber color with good foam.

There’s an incredibly fresh and vibrant aroma that’s a citrus bowl of delights: tangerine, orange, a squeeze of lemon and a touch of pine. The flavor pops with tangerine and orange, pine and pith. The flavor lingers, tapering off into deliciousness.
