My can doesn't say 'white chocolate' on the label however after seeing that the ABV of this entry matches what's on my can and I do smell white chocolate, I'm guessing this is the correct place where I should be entering my observations.
Welcome to Vermont, not sure how long you're staying here but let's roll with this one.
Poured into an English pint glass, the soft appearance of a light copper transparent color and a sly small cap of a white foamy head dissolves to leave some swirls of a finger nail's width of head sliding with the sips. Super light concave lace.
The aroma had some white chocolate, coffee bean sweetness, light char/ash, light espresso-like tones moving into some vanilla/marshmallow fluff. Star anise is there but extremely faint. With some warmth, noticeable grassy hops show some bitterness on the back end.
The flavor moderately leaned towards the sweet side rolling through all of the prior mentioned aromas. Then the bitter side with some coffee beans and espresso grounds along with those grassy hops help to lighten the sweetness. Slight sticky aftertaste of mocha, espresso, white chocolate and a light dose of grassy hops.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair in between quality of being sessionable and a sipper. I mean the sweetness is quite balanced to the bitterness and neither flavor quality compromises toward the other side. No cloying ability to this one as the carbonation felt nice and low, actually, the can says 'nitro' so there should be barely any carbonation felt in this one. Nice finish of white chocolate, marshmallow/vanilla and sweet coffee.
Overall, pretty nice milk/sweet stout brewed with some American ingenuity of deceiving the drinker to thinking this beer looks like a pale ale. Luckily, the body embraces enough stout-like character to tell me this is quite good. ABV felt as projected.

The aroma and flavor is unbelievable on this brew. cocoa powder, cafe latte, white chocolate, slightest bitterness on the finish. The mouthfeel is really thin and lacks carbonation but the lacing on the glass is beautiful. Almost makes me wonder how this is a beer but the slight bitterness on the end and the malty foam reminds me otherwise

Way better than Stone's milk stout. This beer has nitrogen giving it tiny bubbles and a whitish tint. Great when you want something other than a regular ale without being as strong tasting as a stout

On tap at 38 Degrees in Alhambra, CA.
Pours a clear light orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of roasted malt, cocoa powder, white chocolate, and slight coffee aromas. Taste is much the same with white chocolate and slight coffee flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.
Serving type: on tap.
