poured 12oz bottle into a glass stein. Hazy light amber with a 2 finger khaki head. Excellent retention with some good lacing on the glass; very attractive beer! Toasted malts with a nice biscuit and caramel aroma. Noble hops help contain the sweet aromas. Very pleasant flavor for an Oktoberfest that is not overly sweet and is balanced well with the hop additions. Doughy and bready with crisp, earthy hops. Medium in body and carbonation make this a joy to drink. This is one of the better WI made Oktoberfest beers.

Pours a blushing fiery orange with a thin creamy head of 1/2 finger. Three pieces of what look like bits of eggshell come out on the first pour. No lace left behind.

Aromas of sticky old banana bread, brown sugar, crushed medication or aspirin, and dusty threshing floor.

Flavor is an awful mess. It's sickly sweet and then tries to counter that with what seems like entirely the wrong hops for the style. I get flavors of moldy bread, black banana peel, brine, and some sort of UK or AU hop that doesn't belong here, definitely not Noble or German hops. There's just so much musty sweetness, and then an overpowering bitterness to try to counter it, and it ends up being a straight up mess.

Feel is well carbonated, but leaves a chalky film on the tongue. I hate chalky film.

This beer is a straight drain pour. It totally sucks. I don't think I learned my lesson last time from WBC, they're pretty awful at what they do.

Pours a rich brown color with a foamy white head and mild retention. Some lacing here and there, though I have seen better elsewhere. Smells of toasty nuts and malty bread. Very light hop smell that is almost totally masked by the breadiness of the beverage. Tastes almost as smells; toasty bread and nuts with very little in the way of hop flavor. Regardless, you can tell this is one of the better fest beers with a heavy body and rich malt sweetness. Overall, a decent fest beer. Excellent example; recommended for sure.

This is a 12oz. bottle poured into a 20 oz. weizen glass. This beer is a pretty amber, a touch hazy, and has just short of two fingers of tan foam. There is a bit more foam here than the last couple of Oktoberfest beers I have sampled. The foam settled to about a quarter inch and a little lacing left behind. The carbonation is medium, a steady flow of tiny bubbles ascending to the top.
The aroma is the bready Marzen malts common with this style.
The taste is bread, some caramel sweetness, with just a touch of bitterness on the finish.
I would call this a medium feel, far from watery, but not truly creamy.
I would call this a good Oktoberfest, very similar to the others I have had this fall.

My favorite style newly brewed by a longtime favorite brewmaster. I hope Kirby wasn't brewing for the marketing team that wrote the beer description on the website...

12 ounce bottle poured into my .5l Becher glass.

A -- Gorgeous, clear, deep amber-orange with a dense, creamy, light tan head that holds up well. A very pretty beer to-style.

S -- Yeasty bread up front with spicy, nearly fruity, hops back... and some light diacetyl. It's not big, but it's there. And some light fusel alcohol in the finish.

T -- There's some of that light diacetyl up front with some yeastiness and light caramel following. Spicy noble hop character cuts some of the sweet finish to help dry out the character and there's some mellow malt juiciness -- and even some toastiness in the finish. I just wish the diacetyl didn't linger with the caramel.

F -- The mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a medium to robust body.

O -- This is a very tasty, well-crafted beer, but I'm just a little disappointed in some of the flavor characters that steer away from style -- at least away from German style. I'm not up on the new Brewers Association guidelines, and maybe more US brewers are tuned into that. Unfortunate for me, who likes the traditional styles.

Pours orange amber. A frothy, lasting head leaves lacing.

The smell is of light toffee, nuts and a floral touch.

The taste is initally sweet with a nutty, caramel-ish malt character. A spicy, floral finish adds bitterness in the finish.

It has a smooth, medium body.

A pleasant, slightly hoppier interpretation of an O-fest.

Bottle poured into a pint glass
A-a finger of off-white Big bubbled loose weak foam tops a clear dark copper colored brew with garnet hue.
S-Smells like a nice marzen. Rich maltiness with a sweet toasty-doughiness with a bit of floral hops and a clean lager quality. impression of sweetness.
T-A bread dough flavored maltiness with moderate sweetness and a moderate floral, spicy hoppy finish. A bit of toastiness with a fair amount of lingering hoppiness
M-low to moderate body with moderate carbonation. A touch of warming in the finish.
O-a very nice easy drinking fest beer. Well done.
