I've been curious to see what takes the place of the El Take It Easy-- the only place for a good chicken spleen or chicken head taco. It's on 30th Street between Waypoint and Toronado, but a nice change from the many "farm to table" nonsense pretentious beer parlors. The staff was dependably friendly and enthusiastic. The clientele seem to have been waiting for this place to open. I won't try to stereotype, but it's possible that some arrived on skate boards.

The 20 taps include several local brews, happily different without a Stone to be seen. They were featuring a couple of Ninkasi beers plus Hangar 24, Modern times, Alesmith, Lost Abbey, Green flash, and the Manzanita Witches Hair. From afar were Oskar Blues, another Colorado beer, and some random oddities. All in all, worth a stop for a beer but if you're into old school arcade games, this is the place. Like Barcade in Philly, they have two dozen consoles like Asteroids, Street Fighter, Space Invaders, Defender, Joust, driving games, and more.

The food is actually pretty crazy. Cuban croquette, stuffed meatballs, chicken or beef satay, yellowtail sliders, and bacon or mole-flavored popcorn. A few salads and some recognizable sandwiches round it out. I'm looking forward to coming back, and I think this place will be around.

I love this place. The vibes are good and hey they even have legit beers. For the most part their taps range from so-so middle of the road stuff but I often see Societe, Almanac sours, or something locally barrel aged. I give them credit for this particularly because arcade+beer alone is a winner.

The games themselves are classics--especially in the back which like other places in the area shuts down around 10pm. A lot of their games are busted though so if you dump a quarter in one and you don't get a response don't try other slots. That being said late at night this place gets packed, hot and sweaty, and hey there are actually some decent looking women that hit this place up occasionally.

Bartenders are pretty good.

Edit: Since about a week ago (March 2015) they've let the games go to hell in a hand basket. I mean the buttons on most of the games stick. End of the night you'd think they could give the games a once over with the disinfectant wipe but no......
