I've been to the Fox and Bear a handful of times and I was very impressed by the rotating draft that they have there. For the life of me I couldn't rename what I have had there but it was never a dissapointment having a drink there. The low lighting may be offputting to most people but I find it comforting. The staff is fantastic and tries to make an exceptional effort to let you know that they know you are there. Most of time, if it's not to busy, they may sit with you and go over the beers with you to let you know the local favorites. If you do find yourself in this establishment at anytime make sure to bring a friend as this place is board game friendly. It's really great to get a few friends together to play a game and enjoy a few beers from local brewries.

I don't like to talk bad about this place but the one thing I would complain about is the food and portions. I realize this is not a diner or resturant in any sense of the words but it is also not 5 star quality food as they try to portray. I've had the food and don't get me wrong it is good but I can't justify $9 for three small flour tortillas lightly fried with some seasoned meat and vegetables.

As far as the overall atmosphere goes for this place it is, in my honest opinion, extraordinary. Although it is on the top floor of a jewlery store that is next to a 24 hour gym, the public house does come with a glorious balcany overlooking Howard Amon park. I talk this place up so much only because of the fact that the staff encourages you to bring your own board games as well to help give them ideas to add to their collection as well. As well as the rotating draft and if I remember correctly it is a bi-weekly rotation. This place is located just off of George Washington way like you are heading to the Shilo Inn.
