A hop forward lager with complex, citrusy aromas derived from German hops and wheat phenols. We use our house German lager strain to provide a fresh backdrop for this perfect session lager. Mildly traditional...Wildly drinkable.

Poured from a 12oz can into a Dogfish Head Tulip Glass.
Look is a slightly hazy darker yellow with a thin head.
Aroma is lager yeast and dry biscuit malt.
Taste is rich and mouth filling, lots of malt balanced out by lager yeast and that sharp metallic taste.
Not a particularly complex beer, but delicious nonetheless.

how does this beer not have higher ratings? maybe its the lack of tradition in here, its awfully hoppy for a pils type, i get that, but its a decidedly new school take on a classic, and with all the hops in here, this should have extremely wide appeal especially for how well made it is. i really dug this. golden in the glass with a tall white head on it and an aroma of pineapple and grapefruit, really punchy hops, grassy too though, perhaps a mix of old and new world varietals, but definitely dry hopped i would think, it has that aromatic for sure. its not out of line in nose or taste though, and while it sure is hoppy for a pils, its not gnarly or anything, and well short of what we know ipl to be like as a style, there isnt that much bitterness here. i like the body that this has, smooth and a little rounder than most pilseners, and i like the drying lager yeast. the hops have citrus and earthy notes alike, a little lemon to it in the finish, zesty but not bitter. awesome carbonation and fully refreshing and drinkable. this is a great beer, tons of character, and something that in my opinion deserves far better rankings here on BA...

Pours a clear yellow golden color with white colored head. Cereal grains, some piney hop notes, and a little citrus on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied and crisp. Finishes with piney hop notes and cereal grains.
