Our hazy India Pale Lager is making its 16oz can debut with a slightly tweaked dry hop treatment from the most previous release in 2016. We doubled down on the dry hop and incorporated New Zealand Motueka and German Mandarina Bavaria hops. For good measure we hit it with some Citra. We knew you wouldn’t mind. Soft and citrus-saturated hazy lager that’s an absolute crusher.

Throwing an absurd amount of American hops at a classic lager seemed only natural for us. Shh, don’t tell the Germans. We like to keep them at arm’s length.

Not a bad lager at all, full of surprising flavor and good balance. 3/5/20 date printed on can. Pours an amber color with some fluffy white head after a violent pour that settled to some nice small rings of lingering lacing. Aromas of bready malt, grain, corn, some faint fruity and floral hops. Taste follows the nose, good balance and flavors, quite enjoyable. Wouldn't have expected this to be the #4 lager rated here on BA but it is very tasty. Smooth, fairly clean and crisp mouthfeel, good carbonation retention. Very nice.

16oz canned 3-26-19 (opened 6-2-19)
1 1/2" white head with amazing retention even above the rim of the glass. Hazy golden/orange IPL with a persistent bead racing to the top. Full, foamy lace.
Nose is like smelling a bowl of freshly sliced oranges. Bready malt is apparent
Gritty grainy malt flavor followed by citrus / oranges and a slight creamsicle effect. Interesting.
Soft mouthfeel, not super crisp and lager like but close enough to differentiate this beer. Medium length finish.
Jury is out right now, I was hoping to be blown away by this one but wasn't the case -- I'll hit the other 3 and if my mind changes I'll edit the #'s.

Look: Slightly opaque orange. Three fingers of bubbly white head.

Smell: Heavy hop scent. Hard to find any maltiness under the hops.

Taste: Hop flavor and bitterness are more muted than in the smell. Gentle bitterness and hop flavor followed by a crisp malty finish.

Mouthfeel: Good, full body with mild carbonation.

Overall: While it smells like a hop bomb, the resulting beer is surprisingly balanced.

Very nice looking beer; medium golden yellow body; great carbonation; thick, rocky, sticky head. Very pleasant aroma; light grain base with some sweet, fruity esters. The taste follows along the lines of the smell; pronounced hop bitterness throughout, becoming more intense at the finish; light touch of caramel; slight sweetness. Medium body; crisp and dry with a a slight prickliness on the tongue.

This beer nicely balances a European lager body and mild sweetness with a nifty hop presence that gently suggests a west coast IPA. Nicely done.

On-draught @ Avenue Pub, New Orleans.

Refreshing with a nice citrusy and floral hop profile. Pale malt keeps any hop bitterness at bay.

Smooth. Wet. Medium-bodied.

A nice stab at an IPL.

Canned 8 days ago.
Look: a slightly hazy golden-straw color with a thick white head. Great staying power and lacing.
Aroma: dank herbal notes up front, joined by pine and faint citrus. Love the dankness.
Taste: the taste was more balanced compared with the aroma, with citrus and pine and earthy flavors. The bitterness was West Coast but not palate-wrecking. A bready malt backbone very much in the background.
Feel: clean and with a dry finish. Medium carbonated.
Overall: a great IPL. Outstanding construction and a great hop profile.

At Arm's Length has a thick, spongy, off-white head, a hazy, bubbly gold appearance, with lots of tan sediment, and heavy glass lacing. Aroma is of citrus, white bread crust, and hop resin. Taste is similar with mellow bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and At Arm's Length finishes crisp and mild. A standard IPL.

Pours deep and golden with the whitest head I have ever seen from a beer. Nose is somewhat bready and sweet. Taste is clean and crisp with nothing jumping out as a forward flavor...but then the aftertaste hits with hops. Great beer!

The buttery creamy taste and mouthfeel is not to my liking. I shall revisit this beer. Pint Night at Ron’s Corner Tavern.
