Even more mind blowing than the regular Korova Milk Porter, Peanut Butter Korova has an addition of peanut butter to blend with its sweet coffee and chocolate flavors.

A: The beer is essentially jet black in color—only traces of dark brownish red are visible near the edge of the glass. It poured with a short beige head that left thick wisps of bubbles on the surface and a medium-sized collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of peanut butter and chocolate are present in the nose.
T: The taste is mostly dominated by flavors of peanut butter and has some hints of chocolate.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is all about the peanut butter and only has hints of chocolate malts.

This was another beer that I picked up at the Total Wine in Baton Rouge, Louisiana when I was down that way not too long ago. Saw that this was highly rated on here and indeed, this was easily one of the best American Porters that I've ever had. If I can smell a beer upon opening it without even making an effort to do so, then it's pretty much a winner in my book!

Indeed, that was the case with this as the peanut butter emanated out as soon as I cracked this can open. Loads of it was in the aroma along with fresh-roasted coffee, coffee creamer, and just a hint of hazelnut. Full of sweetness, this had a fresh-brewed feel to it that felt like Halloween candy, down to the cocoa powder, milk chocolate, and peanut oil that reminded me of Reese's from back in the day. Slick, sweet, and lively, this didn't last long in my glass as the dark clumps of sediment were the only drawbacks to this otherwise fun and lovely brew that was on par with it's 70's-inspired label!

Hard to discern the alcohol here and because the carbonation was so light, the flavors were allowed to linger for the duration of my time with this. Hints of lactose and peanut oil gave this a nice depth as I almost felt like opening up a sugar packet and stirring it into this. Canned on 9/28 of last year, this would have been amazing to have on tap, especially with a nitro pour. In the end, this was an outstanding American Porter worthy of it's rating on here!

Recommended to me by the fine folks at 504 Craft Beer Reserve during my recent trip to New Orleans. Dark brown in color with a minimal head. No lacing. Excellent scent of peanut butter and lactose. Tastes very good. Smooth, well carbonated, virtually no bitter, plentiful lactose, hearty oat maltiness, and crisp peanut butter. Something that can be savored, but also very sessionable as I was quickly at half glass before I knew it. I would easily make this a regular purchase if it were available in my area. Consumed on 4/19/22 and purchased in February 2022.

Around a medium body with medium light carbonation that maybe was a bit too much. Slight slick oily feel which helped add up to an overall nice feel
Aroma is a blast of fresh ground peanut butter with a little char, roasted malt, and despite not having any chocolate.
Taste is almost dry yet has a mild sweetness. Peanut butter definitely followed by malt, roasted malt, some dark chocolate mocha.
Overall a really well done novelty beer which also works great as a mildly sweet dessert beer.

12 oz can, canned 11/5/19, into Calusa snifter.

Pours a nice shiny brown color that forms into a bold dark brown in the snifter. Creamy head of 2 fingers, receding gradually to 1/2 finger.

Aroma is just huge, tons of peanut butter, peanut butter wafer cookie, Ritz Bitz, and chocolate.

Flavor brings the porter first, and the peanut butter second. Luckily, the base beer is good. Nice roasty coffee notes with hints of brown sugar and aluminum, followed by the peanut butter cookie wafer but in a way as if it were dissolved into the beer. Not particularly sweet, just a presence of peanut butter amid the coffee roastiness. Some bitter hop particulate on the finish.

Feel is thin as expected for a baltic porter, but not too thin - has a nice robustness, bumps it up to medium bodied, with a busy carbonation and a nice roasted finish. Mild warming alcohol.

Overall, a well-crafted beer that you should try once.
