Aboard the Pineapple Express, destination is of no concern. There’s no first class or upgrades. Just climb aboard and enjoy the feel of the earth moving beneath you. This Milkshake Style IPA revels in pineapple. At 7.5% ABV, the only thing that matters on this trip is the journey.

I bought this for the interesting can art and because I like juicy IPA. It has a nice subtle pineapple flavor with some soft touches of citrus. I would purchase this again

This is not a beer that I would normally have picked up. Not a fan of fruit added beers but the can and reviews had me intrigued. Glad I tried it. This was right up my alley. Nice citrus scent and taste but definitely has pine and resin and ipa feel. I agree with other reviewers. This is not a milkshake. More like a hazy IPA. Great summer beer. I am local so drinking a can from 4/24/19. Fresh is good!

Once more, I am playing catch-up as everyone else reviews/rates a beer that I added. 8=( Such are the trials & tribulations of The CANQuest (tm) with the twin boundaries of 1) the backlog & 2) my unwillingness to Crack! open (especially) a CAN without an approved pic in place, which usually sends the beer into #1. Oh well.

I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a Gussie Glug, figuring that it was billed as a "Milkshake"/hazebro AIPA. It briefly puffed up to form just over a finger of foamy, soapy, rocky, tawny head with modest retention, quickly falling to wisps. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Hmm. Nose was more towards Pine than Pineapple, but that was fine by me. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was surprisingly bitter, with a resinous bent to go along the somewhat undefined tropical fruitiness. It bespoke tropical fruit(s), but I CANnot definitively say that I would have defaulted to "pineapple". Further, it had a pine resinousness that was totally unexpected. Finish was dry, slightly-to-mostly bitter and quite the surprise. That said, if I am rating to style, then it was spot-on since hazebro NEIPAs are NOT a style & this was NOT one of them anyway, despite its labeling & verbiage. This has the potential to really anger a lot of CANsumers since it does not live up to its billing, but for me, it was a pleasant surprise, As always, YMMV.

12 oz can, dated 3/23/18, poured into a teku
A- A slightly hazy golden copper with a two finger white head.
S- Pineapple, tropical fruits, touch of mango, citrus, mildly dank, touch of caramel malts.
T- Pineapple, citrus, some stones fruits, touch of wet grass, some tropical fruits and caramel malts.
M- Smooth, medium body.
O- Not a bad IPA, but not a Milkshake IPA. No vanilla or lactose, pineapple is pretty nice.
