Appearance: This beer poured with a very dark copper coloring-- a hint of gold in the rustiness. The head of a half inch was a light, creamy color, but did not stick around for more than a few seconds.
Smell: Smells of a light honey with a pungent woodiness about it. Almost a hint of nutmeg evident, I believe. Hops evident; tickling the nose a bit. Rather soft, subtle smell overall.
Taste: Wow! The taste is remarkably different from what one might expect! Still sweet, but less hops than evident in smell. It has a very fresh taste, perhaps a bit on the minty (?) side. (Very hard for me to place! Sorry!) A bit less ambiguity and a bit more bold in the taste would be nice.
Mouthfeel: Very pleasant consistency here. The carbonation quite complimentary of the drinking experience. Could be a bit too much carbonation for some people, but I rather like it!
Drinkability: This beer is quite drinkable. I like it for its maltiness and carbonation, but again, I'd like a bit more taste. I'd recommend this beer to people (like myself) who are still relatively new to the world of beer and want a good and easy experience.
