Stationed in Stuttgart in the 1970's, this and Stuttgart Hof were my two favorite regional beers.
Dink pours a deep yellow, nice frothy head that eventually becomes Belgian lace and lasts to the bottom of the glass.
Nice fresh malt aroma, with a hint of hops. The hop aroma leads a tad in the sweet direction, like Tettnang or Styrian Gold like aroma.
Delicious up front malt/hop flavor, with the hops lingering nicely on the tongue. Good medium body.
For you German pilsner fans, if you're thinking a pils like Bitburger or Radberger, this brew might not be your cuppa tea. While nicely hopped, like other beers from the Stuttgart area, the malt sweetness is obvious. Again, well hopped, but somewhat malty for a pilsner. Regardless, this is a good beer!

On tap at Carls Brauhaus in Germany.
Hits the mouth very soft. And stays soft. Taste like a fine pilsner. Bitterness doesnt stay too long on the tongue. Very watery. Making it an easy to drink but nice beer.

On-draught @ Bratz Y'all, New Orleans, Louisiana. $6.90 USD/500ml krug.

Drinks a bit rustic and grassy for a pils, lacking the clean pilsner malt crispness I'd hope for in a German pilsner.

Noble hops are well showcased.

A drinkable Summer quencher but not a top tier pils.

L: Clear yellow/gold with a full white, quickly dissolving head.
S: A wonderful pils aroma of crackers, wheat, bread, hops
T: good, but on the mild side with white grain white bread, saltines, a hint of lemon, and subdued hops
F: thin, not watery but there is little body, has the feel of an AAL
O: not a bad German pilsner, but not as full bodied as I prefer. Very easy drinking, think of it as a German pils version of High Life

Pours a clear golden color with a nice head and lacing
Aroma has floral and hop hints
The taste follows the nose with a hop flavor
A light bodied well carbonated beer
A decent Pils, not as crisp as I like them, but more hop forward

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a small amount of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is heaviest of a slightly grainy bready smell mixed with some aromas of light caramel and corn syrup. Along with these smells come a decent showing of a hay smell as well as a touch of earthiness.
Taste – The taste begins with a with a bready flavor that has a decent showing of caramel and light corn sweetness. At the same time there is a little bit of a grainy taste which grows slightly stronger as the taste advances. While the grain grows stronger, so too does the sweeter caramel taste, all while the breadiness lessens. At the end a little bit of a earthy and herbal taste comes to the tongue, leaving one with a somewhat sweeter lager taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather moderate. A bit less body and higher carbonation may have been slightly better for the abv. and flavor profile, but all said, the feel was alright.
Overall – A decent lager overall, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Dorada con un pequeño cordón de espuma de baja retención. De cuerpo ligero y carbonatación media. Aroma herbáceo aunque débil. En boca resulta acuosa, plana y con una pizca de pimienta lo que me resulta agradable.

Pours a mostly clear golden yellow color. Smell is mellow with bread ,grass and grain. Taste is greater than smell it has grainy, grassy spicy and herbal hints in the hops with a crisp mouth feel could have used more carbonation, otherwise a nice euro pils.

great head but could use some carbonation... unless it's my glass killing the bubbles? great 'german pils' smell and bitterness, quaffing and quenching on a warm afternoon... and of course the mandatory Underberg.... Underbergs and cigarettes USED to be THEE ultimate combo after an authentic fried bratwurst and accompanying mustard! oh those were the days..... this aint the best one out there, but after a long ride and who knows how long sitting on a shelf... it's a good beer.

12 ounce bottle - $2.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Dispenses a yellow-hued body with good clarity and a small-sized, sudsy, white head.

Smell: Lightly aromatic, some slender sniffs of ground white pepper, grains.

Taste: Lightly doughy, lightly sweet with a moderate degree of firm graininess. A touch of dried herb, white pepper, that, with the graininess, gives a certain level of spiciness. Finishes rather dry, lightly crisp.

Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation, relatively crisp mouthfeel.

Overall: Fine, if a bit ho-hum and lacking. One could most certainly do better for a bright, engaging pilsner, whether from Germany or wherever, really.
