Good looking beer. Billowy white frothy head. Funky nose of banana, wheat, cloves. Taste... white bread, pear, apple, wheat, other grains, banana. Very good finish. Hoppy. Surprised by the hop presence. Good, faint malts on the back end. This is not a bad beer for the style. Thirty two ounce can went down easy. This would be a great summer time thirst quencher I would recommend over the Gose styles.

This burnt orange brew is perfectly hazy with a thick crowning of off-white froth; just as it should be. Big banana, orange and spice to the nose. Plenty of banana, orange, and peach to go around with a bit of clove and slight phenols in the finish. So creamy from start to finish and light in body of course. Really enjoying the hell out of this one. And although it may not be top tier, I consider it a very fine example of the style.

This pours very murky for the style, and slightly darker as well (amber instead of golden. Luckily, the head is very fluffy and dense. It also seems to reveal a lot of general wheat malts going by the aroma, with the esters in the background. Still, those flourishes of banana, bubblegum, and clove are fairly pleasant. Nothing is wrong with the nose, it just lacks the 'zing' of the best. Ditto the flavor profile. It starts off with a lot of wheat malt, with some banana and bubblegum esters showing up in the middle. the finish is mildly hoppy, which I like. All in all, it's a simple tasting beer that doesn't feature the defined hefeweizen characteristics of the finest (exactly as the aroma suggested). Having said that, it's reasonably satisfying and well rounded. This balance is aided by the mouthfeel - light, airy, well carbonated, and *very* crisp. Even if it's no Weihenstephaner, it's so damn poundable...and that's good considering it comes in a near liter can.

3.19/5: It's a borderline liter can of hefeweizen, enough said

From the crowler, which was on sale for $2.99. Best By date of 20 July 2017. Sampled on August 24, 2016.

The pour is a cloudy looking pale yellow underneath a moderate white foamy head that fades down some and leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is certainly exhibiting the wheat, lemongrass, and toasted bread character but there is an off-putting soapiness that I also pick up.

Light to medium body.

Wheat flavors and a mildly grassy finish. But that soapiness seems more noticeable in the taste than on the nose. Semi-dry and clean finish.

Poured from a 1-Liter can into a large mug glass.

A: The beer is a cloudy yellow color with a large foamy white head that fades quickly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains wheat, light caramelized malts, bananas, some citrus and some hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of wheat and a hearty but not too heavy malt character. Then some sweetness comes in from flavors of bananas, caramel and a little citrus. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, very good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Poured from a giant 32 oz. can. Has a cloudy, dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of banana, wheat, light spices. Taste is milder than the aroma. Banana, wheat, and cloves are all present, smooth and refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an easy drinking summer beer.

Poured 0.5 can into a Weizen glass.

Appearance: Light amber color. Very cloudy. Tall and foamy medium lasting head.

Smell: Yeast, bread.

Taste: Dominant wheaty aroma. Banana is there, but with spicy overtone of the hops.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Medium-low carbonation.

Overall: Easy drinking and enjoyable. Not the best Hefeweizen out there but it is a good one.

Pours a light orange hazy body with a gelatinous white head. The scent is heavy on sweetness, banana, and some light spices. The taste has an inherent creaminess and some sweetness and smooth wheat flavour. Very light in body and easy drinking. A nice hefe.

(950 ml can, best by 03/17/2016 - poured into a generic weizen glass)

L: didn't think I stirred up the can much, but it's remarkably cloudy, as if it's all dregs... light, golden-amber color to the juice... very tall, 3-finger high stand of rocky foam... looks rather rough and young, no lace

S: mashed banana and semi-wet bread dough... little bit of a floral, almost hoppy overtone... vibrant wheaty aroma which may indicate rich malty, yeasty depth... only a faintly-spicy, nearly whiskey-like, phenolic scent

T: bready nectar, barmy yeast - sort of a doughy pretzel flavor... banana is there, though mellow and out on the edges, and it also sports a hint of citrus, vaguely lime of em all!... layers, folds of dough, luscious

F: medium-bodied, could go either way whether it leans to the lighter or fuller side of that... bit of a mildly silky residual yeasty backflow... liquid bread like a rich doppelbock, but certainly with some more fizzy activity across the palate

O: fairly solid, pleasingly shelf-stable I've a buddy who's a hefe-head that will certainly gulpple this up... not bad for a 50oz canned weizen that's going on a year old... yet another German-Polish beer item that will languish on the shelf of the liquor store that time forgot - gonna have to clean them out
