500 ml. bottle. Hazy clear brown clear colour, pours a big head that fades quickly, leaving a rim on the glass. Smell is wet earth and some weak spices and toffee. I can't find much here. Light body, I'd rather say watery and taste of lemon, cloves, some banana and spices. I've tried some better than this one.

500mL can.
Brew date: Apr. 9, 2011; best by Apr. 9, 2012.
5.8% ABV, 11.8 degrees Plato.

Appearance: Amber-brown color with a touch of orange when held to the light. Two fingers of dense, tan, soapy foam, fair retention of about two minutes. Cloudy. Left thin rings of lacing with each gulp.

Smell: Sweet grains, grass, little banana or cloves.

Taste: Malty, sweet, very little banana ester, no hops bitterness to speak of. A touch of roast flavor.

Mouthfeel: A bit light bodied, almost watery for a weissebier. Good carbonation on the palate. Sweet lingering finish. Hint of roast malt in the finish.

Overall: Very easy to drink, but kind of light for a Dunkel Weisse. There are much better examples, but I could be persuaded to have it again if other Dunkel Weisses were not around.

It really depends what you're in the mood for with this beer. It's one of the weakest dunkels I've ever tried, but what flavor is there is solid, and it has a unique caramel flavor. Valentins is ideal as a warm weather dark beer because it is so easy to drink, but in cooler weather, go with something more intense.

A: Normal looking, brown color with not full carbonation, head is not too big and traces are very little.

S: Smell is very faint, some wheat can be sensed but more simple than complex

T: Tasting is not disgusting but nothing to remember, it has some main ingredients such as wheat but the flavor is very vague and toasted malts doesn't seems present or not as strong as should.

M: Refreshing sensation and that is the main thing, start with some balance and keep until the end, balanced in general.

Found it here in Serbia, can 0,5 l.

A - Big head at first, lots of bubbles. Reddish color.
S - Chocolate at the back, dark fruits, but weak aromas in all.
T/M - In the mouth there is much more alcohol aroma then it should be for this style. On the other hand, drinkable, creamy. Carbonated, low bitterness, wheat malt. Bready taste, some sweetness.

O - Really nothing special.

I was hoping for something a bit more flavorful with this but, it's just not there. Nice color, nice foamy head but the aroma, taste and after taste are not really impressive.

Looks good on pour with high fluffy head. Color is like ice tea. Aroma is malty and sour. Taste is flat and wooden, but not as rich and robust as it should be for the style. It’s been a while since i first rated this, and it’s not as good as others to be readily had in the area....
