More mild than anything else, Copper State is unassuming and lacking when it comes to bold flavor. Certainly drinkable, it is smooth, has some surprising caramel notes, and some other fruit flavors as well.

Pours copper and clear. Light hop nose. Soft taste, no bite, but some bitter in the aftertaste. Decent ipa but not remarkable.

12 oz. can - canned on 10/15/18:
Pours clear amber with a thick creamy head. Lots of lacing sticks.
The smell is of tropical fruits - mango, pineapple, passionfruit, Peach comes through. Robust fruit character. A touch of caramel in the background.
The taste follows the nose. Tropical fruits with a touch of peach. A caramel kiss of sweetness ties in the hops and adds smoothness. Citric bitterness lingers through the finish. Refreshingly dry, bitter aftertaste.
Very smooth. Juicy, medium-body.
A very drinkable, juicy IPA. Hop-forward, tied together by just the right amount of caramelized sweetness. A great example of a modern American IPA!

Appearance: amber in color with a 1" head that falls to a spotty surface covering.
Smell: citrus tones are easy to detect here.
Taste: caramel, grapefruit, orange, a hint of pine, and an earthy bitterness rounds it out.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp to start, less crisp and a touch dry late.
Overall: a solid IPA that is easy to have a few of them in a session.

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop 10-9-17 for $1.49. Canned on 9-14-17; stored in the beer fridge since purchase.
Beer poured a copper color with a solid white head.
Nose was a moderate amount of citrus hops aromics.
Taste was floral with some citrus over a medium malt body. Finish was really dry.
Mouthfeel was medium bodied and fairly refreshing.
Overall a solid IPA. Would have again in the future but would not seek out.

A hazy light copper, with a finger of creamy, off white head, that sticks to the glass, and takes its sweet time dissipating. The aroma has lots of citrus notes. Lemon, oranges, grapefruit. Some pineapple, a dank quality, & biscuits, round things out. The flavor has all of these components, and a mild, nice, bitterness, that fades, quickly. Nice lacing down the glass. The feel is about average carbonation, medium-ish body, and fairly dry. So glad I came cross another really good local IPA!

Pours a deep gold with thick head and sticky lacing. Very nice notes of grapefruit, citrus, pine, and hops. A very clean IPA with smooth full hoppy notes mixed with refreshing citrus and slight sweet finish. Mild dryness and no bitterness at all. This is a very clean IPA and awesome for all day outside, impressive.
