Owned by the same group that owns Nick & Jimmy's (one in Toledo and one in Temperance, MI), along with the Cocoa House, this place is in one of the city's big strip-plaza hybrid areas on Monroe street. It doesn't look like too much from the outside, but it has the familiar Nick & Jimmy's feel to it, and a very similar atmosphere. There's a bit of sports but the TVs aren't overwhelming, and they're kept quiet. There's space at both the bar and tables, and the main area is a more spacious than their other restaurants, full of tables but with room to get through. It's got a nicer atmosphere overall, with a nice retro-antique wood and brass bar, though the retro green hanging lamps over it aren't the prettiest.
Service is generally good overall, including friendliness and serving time, though top-offs aren't especially fast.
The beer selection is limited to six taps total. Three are legitimate craft taps, with whatever Great Lakes has in season always on, along with Guinness, Stella, and the faux Batch 19. Otherwise, there are 15 bottles to choose from, all BMC, though I have to credit them for having a couple non-alcoholic options (just because no one ever seems to think of it).
The food is as good as their other ventures, and the sandwiches in particular are excellent.
