12oz. bottle poured into a tumbler glass. Appears to be contract brewed.
A- A nice orange/light amber, some light sediment in the brew. A small off white head, not much lacing.
S- Maris Otter malt is immediately recognizable, and typical Citric/Tropical Mosaic hops.
T- A nice Maris Otter malt backbone is balanced by juicy tropical flavors. Yup, it's mosaic hops. Firm bitterness on the backend. Let it warm up, the hops don't shine until it has.
M- a nice light side of medium body, ample carbonation, and pleasant drying on the finish.
O- A very nice IPA, from a very small brewery.

On tap at Chix in Virginia Beach, server has nothing to do with the beer, but couldn't tell me what the offering was, and after trying it didn't know it was an IPA. Not overall terrible, but didn't finish the pint. A beer, I've had worse, I've had many a lot better

Kind of "Meh" IPA. Looks good!!! Pours a hazy dull honey gold with a huge frothy head. Good retention and frothy rings of lacing on the glass. Kind of a vegetably aroma with some bitterness showing through. Flavor has some bitterness and more malt than the aroma hints at. There is a metallic aftertaste that is not so appealing. Mouthfeel is fairly light with some bitterness. Overall not that impressive an IPA. The label said it was contract brewed by St Georges brewery in Hampton for Back Bay. I don't know if I had an old bottle, but it was not that impressive.

Picked up the bottled version of Back Bay Brewing Co's Atlantic Avenue IPA. First noticed a very foamy head. Like other reviewers picking up the citrus notes. This beer is a nice day at the beach beer due to its lightness and mild hop flavor. One curiosity is surprising to read its 74 IBU as it does not rate that high with my pallet.

Decent IPA. A little bit of a funky taste on the hops finish: not sure if it's the hops variety or some other flavor worked into the mix: not my favorite IPA, but would drink again for sure.

Nice IPA from one of my local breweries.. Cloudy gold in color with nice head and average lacing. Aroma is hoppy and very citrusy. Taste is piny, with some citrus and citrus peel, orange, etc. Mouthfeel is great, IBUs are more mellow than expected for what the can stated. Overall, nice beer, will drink again !

Bottle. No idea when bottled. Looks like an ale rather than an IPA. Smells like citrus and hops. First taste is great. No bitterness. Sweet and citrus flavor with a tiny bit of hops on back end. 74 ibus are barely noticeable. 6% abv so a solid ipa. Very tasty. Easy to drink. Beach beer for sure. Excellent effort.
