Pretty clear and deep gold. Thin white head that fades quickly with no lacing left behind. The aroma is full of line, wheat and some sweetness. A sweet and bitter beer with some wheat taste and a lot of key lime. There is a mild sweetness and a bitter finish. This is a nice, refreshing wheat beer.

Served to me on-tap at the brewery in a standard pint glass, this beer draws a slightly cloudy/hazy medium golden color with a nice white head that's initially an inch thick when first served to me that settles to pretty much nothing after a few sips, just a faint trace of a ring of foam lining the inside of the glass. Zero lacing at all. Aromas of crisp, somewhat bready malts and wheat to be sure along with some definite lime. The taste is pretty much the same, with crisp, sort of bready malt along with wheat and a nice lime presence. Light hop presence to round this out flavor wise. A simple and straight forward flavor profile. The lime adds just a hint of astringent tart sourness that's absolutely perfect. Has a crisp, yet smooth, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish. Easy to drink in the good way. Very refreshing and enjoyable in this hot and humid Florida weather.

12 oz can.

It is a hazy, unfiltered orangish gold. Off white to beige foam.

Smells a little citrusy, like dirty dishwater (stale) and grainy with a bit of corriander spice.

Tastes a lot like key lime pie, but not necessarily a real good one. Kind of like a frozen pie, or some artificial flavored candy a bit. There is biting lime, some wheat, a hint of sweet creme that is a little cool whip like that I swear I am not imagining, and a slight corriander kick.

Fairly easy drinking. Enjoyable, especially on the ocean front on a 90 degree evening, but not great.

Had a can of this at Olivia's at the Olde Key West Resort when we went for lunch.
Poured into a regular shaker pint glass from a 12 oz. can. No dating the can.

Appearance: Crystal clear golden yellow body with the smallest amount of head. Dissipates quickly and leaves no lacing.

Aroma: Plenty of lime and vanilla sweetness, other than that, not much else.

Taste/Moutfeel: Plenty of lime, but not a lot tartness to it. Plenty of vanilla-graham cracker sweetness, a little too much. Thin body with an easy drinkability.

Overall: Not something I would really seek out and try again. It was ok, but it does remind you of a key lime pie. If the sweetness could be dialed back a bit it might be a little bit better.

I wanted to like this, but can find no reason to purchase again. I caught a faint scent of key lime in just one of the six cans I tried. I never caught a taste of key lime- not in initial taste, drinking, nor aftertaste. Remove "key lime" from the name, and it would not be missed. Mediocre. Pass on this.

When you like to drink craft beer you experience all kinds of quality. From poor mediocre to excellent. I find most excellent beers are brewed by guys with formal training but sometimes a rookie can make a good beer. I have tried craft in at least 25 states. This beer that I tried in the Florida panhandle in a can was the WORST craft beer exampl I have ever tasted.
Absolutely dog shit. It had a revolting sour spoiled taste like they dumped fake lime juice concentrate in the fermenter.
It also had an almost tobacco like foul odor to it. I still cant believe that a brewer with any experience could make such
a bad beer. MY advice to Mr Bigtop is to sell his building to the circus and get out of the brewing business. Truly elephant
dung would smell better than your Key Lime beer. Unbelievably bad.
