Not a good beer. Really no better than an average home brew. Murky - this is consistent across their beers .... They look like pond water. Dull orange red. Nose of caramel and not much else. No hops, no malty goodness. Flavor is more of the same with a slight buttery note. Feels soft and heavy.

Amber hued with a fingernail of beige around the rim and three quarters of the top. The aroma is of caramel. I'm tasting lots of carmelized crackery malt. The mouth is lightly syrupy.

I bought a can of the Rod Bender whilst in Fort Lauderdale to take on a cruise. It poured a murky amber with thin/zero white head that little lace. The scent was a light caramel. The taste was sweet caramel malt with slight bitter finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it was decent.

I'd call it an old school American red, it's big of bread crust and caramel malts with just enough hops to balance the residual sugars. It's clean and easy drinking, but nothing new.

My first offering form 3 Daughters and I was impressed...

Maybe it's nepotism talking, but my son, home during the Fourth of July weekend and day pick this up for me for my birthday. At first I wrinkled my nose to it, but after taking a few swigs, I was happily surprised. A very nice reddish tinged beer with good head and some lacing fills the glass and empties out. The smell was slightly sweet, slightly malty and light on the nose. Mouthfeel was lightly carbonated to go with its overall light-bodied weight in the mouth. The taste was a blend of what I noted in my nose, sweet, malty and very sessionable (even at 6%). I have a sixer to go through - minus the ones he's trying, so I'm looking to enjoy a few more.

Rusty brown color. Very murky. Bread and hops on the nose. Thick middle. slightly chewy. Nice hop character. resiny bready finish. I dig the taste. Color could use work.

Very pleasantly surprised at how good of an amber ale this is. Great, caramel biscuity malt is the star here. Light sweetness and a light, bubbly body make this a great session beer.

So, not everyday in Florida is fun in the sun. Sometimes a cooler, somber, or more cloudy day comes along- one than makes you yearn for a darker, richer beer flavor. Or maybe you just want a more savory beer to go along with a cheeseburger. Regardless, the 3 Daughters team has this beer for that occasion too.

Deep and dark in amber, its hazy cast leaves an impression of bronze on the eye. Its scent is bold with toffee, toast and with hints of chocolate and raisin. To taste, its the toffee and toast that lace the tongue with sweet and savory maltiness.

Embarking upon the middle palate, the sweet maltiness hinges on sugary quality as its sweetness lingers long and labored. Chocolate, nuttiness, toastiness, toffee and coffee all shed a malty light on the tongue while its hops are light, broad and woodsy- taking a faint edge off of the sweetness and aiding with drinkability.

Its sweet and robust finish is deep and savory. Trailing peanut skins, bread crust, coffee ground and cocoa leave a slight acidity and mild tannin dryness of the tongue, but not enough to offset the lingering sweetness that trails into the throat like cola and popcorn.
