I think a worthy beer for #4,000.Pours a deep roasted walnut brown with a garnet hue,a beige colored creamy head atop.A great mix of chocolate, roasted nuts, molasses, and chili in the nose, all come together really well.Love the flavor profile with semi-sweet chocolate and roasted nuts/coffee standing out at the onset then melding into a sweetish molasses-like middle than quite a big shot of the chili de arbol really making a presence in the finish and it lingers.A great beer,Iam not the biggest fan of the "regular" bourbon barrel aged Dragons Milk but this is great, loved it.

Bourbon barrel Imperial Stout with coffee and chocolate. Poured from a bottle into a Brooklyn Brewery tulip. The pour is very dark, not quite black, and sports a half-finger of tan head. Lots of chocolate on the nose as well as cappuccino, cookies, and a hint of vanilla.

Full body with a silky feel and a sweet flavor. I get flavors of fresh bread, roasted coffee, and chocolate up front. At mid-palate some vanilla, sarsaparilla, and a hint of bourbon creep in. There is no booziness, but definitely some alcohol warmth and a nice rich bourbon-like flavor. More sarsaparilla on the back of the palate and a pleasant, warm finish.

Overall, a very pleasant beer that would accompany most desserts quite well. I'd probably enjoy it more if it was chilly outside, but still a nice after-dinner indulgence.
