I decided to give this a try and purchased two bottles from a singles selection.

Ichabod Ale pours a orangish amber hue with a moderate head and decent lacing.

The aroma is nice with hints of pumpkin, cinnamon & nutmeg.

The flavor starts out nicely with the aforementioned spices and pumpkin but it finishes watery and with just a bit of pumpkin and cinnamon.

Overall this is a decent beer but nothing overly exciting.

Had this on draught while out at a restaurant. A very drinkable pumpkin ale. Smelled of cinnamon and sugar and while tasting it I tasted hints of graham cracker. Very good fall beer.

Nice color. Bitter taste. No unique pumpkin or pumpkin spice taste.

The appearance was a nice semi-dark to light orange to brown color-ed body with a nice less than a half fingered white foamy head that died extremely quickly. Lacing, hmmm...what lacing, there wasn’t any. The smell had a nice cinnamon to ginger spiced somewhat pumpkin-esque sort of spiciness trying to let a semi-decent maltiness to come about it. Does it? Hmmm....Not really, but still good for the most part. The taste, hmmm....well, its a fairly good spicy to sweet to a light hoppy bitterness combining and coming all about into itself. On the palate, it sat at/about a fairly light to medium on the body leading into a decent sessionable quality and having a fairly good carbonation running about its body. Overall, for the most part, I’d say this was a good Pumpkin Ale.

New Holland Ichabod Ale | New Holland Brewing Company. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, the head on this beer is three fingers thick and off-white, with solid lacing, and a clear deep mahogany brownish amber body.

I smell milder pumpkin/ginger spice with caramelized malts.

Tastes like the caramelized malts mixed with gingerbread making this a damn tasty brew, let alone the lighter pumpkin hints.

Medium mouthfeel with mild carbonation.

Overall, I'll rate New Holland Ichabod Ale | New Holland Brewing Company with a 4.5

Pours a clear amber colour, Smells like sweet pumpkin, cereal malts, caramel, slight spiced hop, and nutmeg. Tastes like light pumpkin throughout, cereal malts, kind of sweet, a bit of pumpkin spices at then end, but quite light.

New Holland Ichabod Ale brewed by New Holland Brewing Company. This pumpkin ale pours out a deep golden amber color with a nice off white head. Now Ichabod Ale , has an ABV of 4.50% There is a decent amount of lacing to this pumpkin ale, it sticks nice to the glass. Ichabod Ale smell is rich with spices and pumpkin. The smell puts you in the mind set of pumpkin pie, not saying that is a thing. Between the color and smell this brew is really inviting. Now for the taste, it is bold with spices, you pick up on cinnamon and nutmeg, then pumpkin. You also pick up on a decent amount of grains and malts. There is a lot going on in this pumpkin ale. This pumpkin ale has a bit more spices than most on the market, but it gives this brew a nice kick, that is a good thing. There really is nothing overpowering about New Holland Ichabod Ale, it a has a real nice balance to. I can't get over how smooth this ale goes down. This a fine drinking pumpkin brew, really puts you that pumpkin pie state. This is one pumpkin brew I can really enjoy. The mouth feel of New Holland Ichabod Ale is Spicy , Bold, Clean , Smooth, and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving New Holland Ichabod Ale a 4.75 out of 5. I would definitely buy this brew again. New Holland Brewing Company, did a real nice job with this brew.

A: pours to a 1 finger head with some lingering froth over an amber body.
S: subtle pumpkin notes with an light touch of nutmeg. Very light on the spice smell.
F:Soft small bubbles make for a smooth drink of medium body.
T:Some pumpkin seems to strike first but very well integrated with the malt/grain the follows. A trace of nutmeg through out like a guide. Slight tart flavor from hops or pumpkin? despite that finishes clean no lingering flavors, very tidy.
O: I feel this is a decent beer with a touch of pumpkin and nutmeg. It is not sweet or a spice bomb. They give you a beer with a light touch of something different. I would perfer a stronger roasted pumpkin flavor but this isn't bad.
