12 oz bottle served chilled into a pint glass. Packaged 5/16/16.

Imperial Hatter is a slightly hazy copper color with about an inch of white head. It settles quickly and leaves some nice lacing.

Aroma is hoppy also malty and boozy. Not super fresh but you can tell the hops are there in force.

Flavor is malty sweet up front with caramel and toffee. The hops come through with big bitterness but less hop flavor than most. It's more balanced than a lot of DIPAs so I think American strong ale is more suitable.

Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and smooth with low carbonation.

Overall a good beer but not a great imperial IPA.

A darker than average pour, this one leans light auburn and orange, elements of darker red to it. 1/3" white head dissipates quickly. Aroma didn't kick down big dry hop gems.

Taste, crystal malt, caramel feels, a little bit of c hops, maybe some simcoe. Alcohol decently hidden with the caramel heavy notes at least. Comes across as a standard high ibu, high abv, moderate hoppiness kind of dipa with lots of caramel malt notes.

Its good but not great. Mouthfeel is its best trait.

Pours a two finger white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Hazy amber color. Good carbonation and light-medium bodied. Sweet pine hop nose and flavor is caramel first then light pine hops. Higher ABV is hidden. Decent DIPA. $3.29 for a 12oz bottle from Julio's Liquors Westborough, Ma.
