Notes:
Our signature bourbon barrel-aged stout paired with a refreshing blend of raspberry and hibiscus, lending fruity tartness that enhances the underlying flavors of bourbon, vanilla, and roasted malt character.

12 ounce bottle, bottled 03/13/2019. Served in a Dragon's Milk chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like raspberry, hibiscus, roasted malt, cocoa and vanilla. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also a bit of burnt/charred malt and dark chocolate flavors noticeable too. Don't really pick up much of any bourbon here, guess it's overpowered by the raspberry and hibiscus as it's mostly fruity/flowery tasting. To me it's a good sweeter tasting imperial stout. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick, smooth and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. Overall I liked this brew a lot, I think it's worth trying if you can pick up a single of it. $5.00 a single bottle.

Pours a dark mahogany with a slight reddish tint around the edges and with a medium size tan head that quickly dissipates with very little lacing. On the nose get raspberry and some boozy scents with some light florals. Taste is mainly raspberry with a very subtle bourbon back drop, some toasted malts. Initially finishes dry but then a sweetness creeps in on the after taste. Mouthfeel is medium carbonation with a bit of cloying, kind of coats the mouth slightly. Overall not bad, a bit light on the flavor profile for an 11% barrel aged stout.

Raspberry dominates the nose and the palate. There may be touches of hibiscus, but the delicate floral character is mostly lost behind the sharp, slightly sour fruit.
Similarly, the traditional barrel characteristic of Dragon's Milk is not particularly notable. The heavy malt base comes through with a chocolate and coffee character, and in particular on the thick, creamy mouthfeel - perhaps the beer's best feature.
I really enjoyed this brew, despite the heavy raspberry presence. Fans of the berry should be quite pleased here.

12oz bottle. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of roasted malt, chocolate, toffee and raspberry. Subtle raspberry notes and light floral notes, otherwise you get oak, vanilla, chocolate and toffee.

12 oz. bottle.
Bottled 03/13/19.
55 degrees at pour.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one and a half inch pinkish tan head over a black body with some sticky lacing. Nose of all raspberry at first and after a few minutes, the base beer's aromas come out from under a ton of raspberry. Hibiscus, dark malt, and chocolate are observed in that order with slighter whiskey. Taste mirrors nose, and after a few sips the sweetness subsides a little and you are rewarded with a bit of whiskey on the finish. Nice feel and overall, yes, I'd have another. Cheers!

Bottled on 3/20/19. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a nice creamy khaki head that falls slowly leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are raspberry forward. Lots of raspberries. The hibiscus and flower notes are there. Malts are there. The bourbon basically takes a backseat in the aroma department. The flavors follow the nose. More raspberry jam leading the way. The hibiscus comes through. Some chocolate and vanilla in the mix. Nice malt backbone. Subtle bourbon notes in the finish, but the raspberries and hibiscus overshadows the bourbon barrel characteristics. Alcohol is ultimately well hidden. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, smooth and dangerously drinkable.
This is a pretty solid stout. The raspberry aspects are really nice. The bourbon barrel aspects almost go unnoticed at times. I guess it lacks balance between the two, but it's still nice nonetheless. It's enjoyable stuff. I like it.

Standard deep, dark Dragon's Milk color. Smooth head with scents of roasted grain, and definitely some raspberry sweetness. This smells like a raspberry truffle. Well, it also tastes like a raspberry truffle. Not so much so that it's off-putting. A flavored stout for sure but I love Dragon's Milk, in any varietal, and this makes the cut. Smooth mouthfeel and overall very enjoyable.
