Pours a clear, translucent yellow, very inviting, and a low, quickly fading head. Smells complex, and grassy, and out-doorsy, and light funk and citrus and biscuit, and some hoppy bitterness. A little funky horse-blanket which is inviting and not distracting. Tastes a bit dry, but not as dry as other saisons, bitterness is muted and not too muscular, like a slightly 'off' pilsner. Very rural in approach. Mouthfeel is moderate, 'fat' carbonation, thin but not too, and overall very pleasant. I like saisons from time to time, and for the price point, this one is spot on. I see this was recently given a bronze in a recent tasting, and the award seems fair. If I was a saison nut, this would always be in the fridge.

Pours a hazy yellow with a minimal white head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is fruit and malt. Tastes of tangy fruit. Starts sweet but finishes slightly sour.

Comes out of the tap a beautiful, slightly hazy golden - not much head, but that must be an artifact of the pour. Malty aroma has a strong yeasty overtone and a woody hint. Satisfying flavor is yeasty, malty and woody with a hint of - hmmmmmmm, cloves. Could that be a whisper of butterscotch? Anyhoo, a very tasty brew. Good texture has a fair amount of fizz, leaving a tingly, malty, slightly woody finish. This is definitely a sipping beer, for savoring while chilling on the porch - or watching a football game.
