Appearance: Pours out a clearish, yellow-orange body with a relatively tall, whitish head.
Smell: Grassy, floral, positively zesty aroma marked with bolstering notes of finely-ground spices, fresh honeysuckle, and lemon. It's a solid scent, alright.
Taste: Light pale maltiness with a dry, crumbled biscuit quality to it and a gentle touch of honey-ish sweetness. Fine fruity accents of tart lemons and pears. Everpresent spiciness delivers pepper and coriander flavors. Floral, slightly grassy hops with a subtle bitterness. Little tickle of acidity at times. Sugary sweet tones perk back up in the latter half. Modest lingering of dried citrus and spice beyond the drying finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.
Drinkability: I'm diggin' it. Pretty tasty and a good use of the sadly forgotten, forsaken grain spelt. One of those beers where you finish the glass and are ready for another helping.

Pours a hazy yellow with a minimal white head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is fruit and malt. Tastes of tangy fruit. Starts sweet but finishes slightly sour.

Comes out of the tap a beautiful, slightly hazy golden - not much head, but that must be an artifact of the pour. Malty aroma has a strong yeasty overtone and a woody hint. Satisfying flavor is yeasty, malty and woody with a hint of - hmmmmmmm, cloves. Could that be a whisper of butterscotch? Anyhoo, a very tasty brew. Good texture has a fair amount of fizz, leaving a tingly, malty, slightly woody finish. This is definitely a sipping beer, for savoring while chilling on the porch - or watching a football game.
