A spicy saison that hasa nice white head and straw colored body. A little horse blanket barnyardy in the taste but also balanced with melon, fruity, yeasty characteristics. High carbonation. i'm not sure if the spelt comes through as much as any regular winter wheat would, not much of a difference. A very good offering from New Holland and a saison that does not disappoint.

Pours a hazy yellow with a minimal white head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is fruit and malt. Tastes of tangy fruit. Starts sweet but finishes slightly sour.

Comes out of the tap a beautiful, slightly hazy golden - not much head, but that must be an artifact of the pour. Malty aroma has a strong yeasty overtone and a woody hint. Satisfying flavor is yeasty, malty and woody with a hint of - hmmmmmmm, cloves. Could that be a whisper of butterscotch? Anyhoo, a very tasty brew. Good texture has a fair amount of fizz, leaving a tingly, malty, slightly woody finish. This is definitely a sipping beer, for savoring while chilling on the porch - or watching a football game.
