Served in a tumbler at The Tribes.

Described as a smoked maple amber wheat ale. Sounds right up my alley, right? It pours a clear russet-copper topped by a finger of light cream foam. The nose comprises maple syrup, beech smoke, and light honey. Imagine a traditional German rauchbier, but with an awful lot o' sweetness fluctuating between the back- and foreground. The taste brings in more of the same, though the smoke is now a bit darker, more akin to a charcoal flavor, and some light mandarin orange zest pops in for a short visit as well. The body is a light medium, with a very light moderate carbonation and a slick, creamy feel. Overall, a pretty interesting brew, not as complex and powerful as I for some reason imagined beforehand, but it's still pretty good.
