12oz bottle into an American pint glass.

A: The body is a deep mahogany, letting no light through. 2 fingers of dark tan head, good retention, medium amount of fine lace.

S: Lots of roasted malt, hints of vanilla and chocolate. The roastyness dominates.

T: Roasted malts, chocolate, and vanilla all come in together in the front. As the beer warms, it is joined by a caramel note form the roasted grains, and a slight flavor of char. Finishes with a chocolatey bitterness at the end that lingers. As the beer warms, the flavors seem to join and become smoother, though even cool it is never harsh.

M: Medium bodied, mildly carbonated, creamy feel. Slightly dry as it finishes.

O: Easy to drink. The aroma of the beer is deceptive, after smelling was afraid it wouldn't be very tasty...so wrong. Really complex beer, in fact so complex, I am not sure my notes are really accurate or doing the beer justice. Really enjoyable to drink.

This stout pours a deep mahogany color with a short lasting one finger off white head that leaves a nice film and average lacing. The nose is dominated by roasted coffee beans and milk chocolate. The mouthfeel is superbly creamy and smooth, it just begs for another sip. The flavor surpasses the aroma with a gentle sweetness that balances the bitterness of the roasted coffee notes. There is also vanilla, chocolate, and s little English toffee present. It really is a delicious and easily drinkable lighter stout. This is definitely one of the better offerings that I've had from New Holland. Good work!

Pours an effervescent mahogany with 2 fingers of tan head. Good head retention & lacing

S: Faint roastyness & some mocha notes

T: Roastyness, chocolate, dryness & a touch of vanilla up front. Milk chocolate notes, slight roastyness & vanilla as this warms, maybe even a touch of caramel & charred grain. Finishes dry, with chocolatey notes & a bit of charred grain bitterness to balance this out

MF: Medium bodied, firm carbonation, turns creamy as this warms

Very nice, forgot how good this one is. One of New Holland's better beers, so easy to drink
