I really liked the venue - it had a good energy but was not so loud that you could not easily carry on a conversation. There were a lot of fireplaces with seating areas around them (couches and chairs) as well as tables for dining. A good portion of the restaurant was open to the outside but was well heated so you could not feel the cold mountain air.

Beers were served at a proper temperature with a decent amount of head in OK glassware - everything that we ordered was served in pint glasses but based on the styles that would not be incorrect (did not see anyone else at tables nearby drinking beers out of other styles of glasses).

The service was friendly but not overly helpful and did not offer much of a suggestion on beers even after my in-laws stated they were not sure what they would like... Service was slow.

The selection at the Edison is good but not great with a heavy emphasis on local Asheville, Western NC, and NC draft beers (as well as the majority of the bottles/cans). The beers covered a range of styles and had a lot of fresh seasonals.

The food was definitely the best of all of the places I tried at the Grove Park Inn - I tried the Moroccan Chick Pea stew and Asian Spicy Chicken + Sweet Potato Waffles (along with the pretzel bread as an appetizer and the house salad). Food was excellent.

Prices were a bit higher than other places I visited in Asheville but in line with other places at the Grove Park Inn resort (I kind of expected this place to be a bit pricier than some of the places in downtown Asheville since it is at a resort.
