Pours burnt orange with nice head. Nice lacing. Light hops aroma. Taste is tangerine, piney hops, candy fruit, sweet orange peel finish. Very tasty. Big fan of other half.

A: hazy tangerine juice color with a white cap on top

S: orange pith, mango , tangerine and a light pale malt base

T: tangerine dream, orange pith , grapefruit and pineapple. It's a fresh juice body with no pulp

M: light body that is thicker than the average IPA but not a neipa thick body

O: a great American IPA , enough to make you want it regularly but not the ddh juice spectacle some of their other offerings demand

Had this on tap at Valhalla in NYC. Poured a hazy medium gold with nice head, good retention and nice sticky lacing. Aroma was mostly citrus with a bit of dank tropical fruit. Taste followed, very nicely balanced with the fruity hops playing against the clean malt background and enough finishing bitterness to refresh the palate without being too dry or astringent. I was very impressed with this beer. Will seek out others from this brewery when next in the area.

Definitely more opaque, lighter yellow like pineapple juice. dry hop aroma, lots of amarillo, grass and hay. Taste profile is dry Citra, notes of pineapple, orange juice and grapefruit. Fairly juicy but nice earthy hop backbone. Good feel.

Canned 2/4/17 Enjoyed 3/6/17. Received a skunked can in a trade, unfortunately. I could tell it was once really good, so I will definitely seek this out in the future. Was a dark orange color, with a very mellow, water, sugary taste. It was still a decent beer, but nothing of what I expected. Stay tuned.

Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass canned on 2/03/17. Pours a murky yellow orange with a two inch sticky white head that leaves behind thick patches of lace.

Smell is guava, papaya, pinapple, mango, tangerine, and some grapefruit rind.

Taste follows tropical start to finish, guava and pinapple dominate upfront, with some bitter grapefruit bite in the finish.

Mouthfeel is a solid medium, enough carbonation but pretty mild, a tad dry from the sticky hops that coats your entire palate.

Over this awesome, as I expect from this brewery. Well done one again. Thanks @Rcruz9230 for excellent beer.

Hazy medium gold/peach color with couple of fingers of white head; lots of juicy fruit on the nose and tongue, lush and ripe orchard-type impressions, maybe something akin to melon and green mango underneath; soft carbonation and plush bitterness - a great take on that NE-style IPA...

Tall can, dating info on the bottom, but its smudged and cant be read.

Pours heavily hazed dull tangerine, lasty and fluffy cap, leaves all sorts of nice looking lacing.

The sniff is bursting with tropical fruit notes with oranges coming mostly to mind.

Super tasty and fruity fresh IPA, again lots of orange, as well as pineapple...simply delicious...thanks to some buddies from Brooklyn for this welcome surprise beer gift!

Who amongst us doesnt enjoy a high quality and fresh tropical fruit bomb from Other Half?

Pours a hazy pale orange in color with a bit over a finger of rocky white head that leaves behind sporadic lacing. Aroma is dank, earthy, citrusy, and tropical all at once. Taste has everything I expect from a New School East Coast (New England-ish) IPA; I get mango, tangerine, lightly resiny pine, a hint of green melon, and light floral and herbal notes. Medium body and moderate-high carbonation that yields a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Overall a great beer, It hits all the right notes for an IPA, I wish I had a few more of these.

Nice thick soapy head and a beautiful opaque burnt orange hue. Smells dank and grassy with a touch of lemon floor cleaner haha Flavor wise it's a bright zesty hop profile that is really quite nicely balanced and coats your mouth with a dry finish

On draft in the taproom. Poured a hazy orange color with less than a fingers worth of head. Definitely a citrus hoppy nose which comes across in the flavor as well but add some bitterness and floral notes. Very crisp, medium feel, easy to drink. This atmosphere plus great beer! Tough to beat.

Thanks for the trade SonnyJay.

A- Tallboy goes into a tulip with a very hazed up milky golden body and a thick creamy cap. That cap slowly recedes to a large pillow and thick ring which drops thick sheets of lacing.

S- A well blended aroma of dank, citrus and tropical fruit hops with the juiciness in the forefront. Mango and grapefruit, herbs, tangerines. floral, slight pine, a hint of crackery grains and yeast bread.

T- Juicy flavors up front from the hops but doesn't take the intensely nectary approach of some of the other East Coast hop kings. That shouldn't be seen as a negative as the depth and amount of flavor is high with tangerine, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, orange, dank herbs, mint, slight melon, floral and strong pine hops saturate the taste buds. Crisp, easy drinking and certainly refreshing hops are laid upon a base of crackery cereal grains, yeast bread and very slight sweets.

MF- Puffy and creamy medium body with a high end carbonation; approaching chewy. A zesty resinous bitterness rounds it out. Really hits the line between luscious and drinkable.

A great upper-ABV IPA. As someone who lives near Tree House I am happy to see that Other Half makes some excellent IPAs with a certain body and hop flair of their own. Can't wait to try more of these.

A: Big hoppy aroma of citrus, orange and grapefruit, and lightly floral

A: Bright orange-yellow color, hazy, with a fluffy white uniform head with solid retention. There is some lacing left in the glass.

T: Lots of hop upfront full of citrus, orange, and grapefruit, pretty juicy with very minimal hop bitterness. M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. The beer drinks very smooth.

O: Tasty; the beer has a great citrus, orange and grapefruit aroma and flavor. The beer’s juiciness is refreshing and drinks smooth.

Purchased 16ox cans Aug 5 at OH, very, very cool spot if you have the chance to get there, well worth it.
L: Pours a cloudy, opaque amber orange, one finger head, head is gone fairly quickly
S: like a hoppy brew, not overwhelming, bold but not too bold
T: REALLY great, gentle carbonation in the mouth (is that feel?), lingers with good length, slight hop bite at the end
F: Just all around great mouth
O: Killah stuff, right there w TH Alter Ego, just a really, really great beer. I feel lucky to have been in Brooklyn and able to make the visit. Very cooool place. Funny to see tubs of dead mash awaiting disposal on the sidewalk with lots of pigeons loving it

A good IPA, not nearly as good as some of the other Other Half offerings, but still good. Cloudy with an orange hue after the pour. Smell citrus, pine, fruit. Sweet tasting, but still bitter. Not heavy, but not light. Very enjoyable.

This beer pours a cloudy golden orange with a late forming, fluffy, 2 finger, off white head. Retention is excellent and there are many chunks of lacing. Smell is complex but subtle. Some citrus, tropical fruit, pine and earthiness all make their presence known. Taste is the same, but packs more of a punch than the smell. Pineapple, grapefruit, citrus pith, lemon zest, pine and earthiness all coat the palate with a wonderful resinous medium bodied feel. Overall an excellent beer, I just wish the smell was a bit less subtle. A hop wallop upside the head, but I prefer AGE.

It may not be fair to compare this beer to other IPA's by OH. I had City Slickers a few days before this beer and it blew me away. This beer doesn't really have anything that stands out. It's a good IPA but nothing that would have me wanting it again. Nice grapefruit aroma but not exactly aromatic. Nice citrus taste with a little pine but not memorable. I'm not sure why anyone would rate this outstanding.

L: Dark golden color. Poured into pint. Immediate frothy inch of head that hung around until the first few sips. Head faded into a small 1/8" head an held strong. Lacing left behind is quite sticky and lasts well after each sip.

N: sweet hops, very soft grapefruit flavors (not overpowering). Some floral notes with a good dankness.

T: sweet at first and hops lightly linger long after. Very balanced with hops and malt on this one. A bit of earthy and grassy flavor balanced nicely with citrus flavors.

F: medium to high mouthfeel and a strong creaminess that lasts nicely. Medium high carbonation and the little bubbles bounce around nicely.

A - Bright gold, crystal clear, mild carbonation, thin lacing but very dense.

S - Juicy tropical fruit: pineapple and red grapefruit. Lots of hop resin and tropical fruit rind.

T - Juicy, resiny, dank, and spicy - the hop resin in this beer is off the chart. An onslaught of hops from start to finish - juicy grapefruit, nectarine, pineapple rind, and big bitter pine/citrus bite at the very end to scrub the sweetness away.

M - Medium body that's on the lighter side, prickly carbonation, and coats the mouth with a layer of fruity resin. The back of the tongue is hit with alot of dryness while the front salivates.

O - Just a fantastic IPA. Highly recommended.

Picked this up at the Other Half can release on 4/9; 16oz tallboy can poured into a snifter glass.

L - Medium/light copper, relatively clear pour with very light head. Bonus points for a sick can design; Other Half killing it with the visual game as always.

S - Super clean, crisp and fresh; not particularly juicy, but a lot of bright pine and arboreal smells up front, with hints of lemon zest, grapefruit, and some floral notes that I can't quite describe.

T - Tastes just like it smells. The pine and floral flavors come across as almost a sweet taste on the first sip, with the lemon zest rounding out a swig and finishing with a moderate amount of hop resin on the tongue. Has a good amount of hoppy resin character as any good IPA is wont to have, but it complements the rest of the flavors nicely.

F - Not sure if this is related to this particular can release, but the carbonation is a bit less prominent than I expected (not necessarily in a bad way though). Mouthfeel isn't particularly remarkable, but it doesn't add nor detract from the experience either.

O - The only thing holding me back from drinking this all the time is the 7.4% ABV in a 16oz tallboy can. Super palatable and refreshing and pretty good all around for any drinking occasion - very glad I snagged a case of this.

L -Hazy light orange with two fingers of white head

S - A lot of resin with sweet malts. Noticeable earthy quality and soaking wet pine tree.

T - Quite resinous. If this makes sense, but it's kind of hollow. Imagine an aerated pine tree stump and this would be it. Lots of pine sap and wet tree bark, but almost empty in the middle. Some garlic/onion taste too really finish things off.

F - At first it seemed on par with the style, but with the aerated taste, the mouthfeel comes up slightly thin, but not watery by any means. There is a small warming sensation (which is surprising foe the style), but it's easy to overcome .

O - Another resin-heavy IPA from Other Half. It's by no means a challenge to put down, but the flavor profile doesn't make for the drinkability that's available from other IPA's from the Northeast.

16oz can, served in a snifter glass.

Medium copper-darker yellow body, one finger white head, good retention, some lacing. Smells of pine, grapefruit, mild grainy sweetness, bit of cereal, caramel. Flavour is similarly west-coast style, with grapefruit, caramel, cereal, with the grainy sweetness being fairly minimal- just enough to provide balance for the hops. It's a fairly hoppy beer that finishes with a more piney bitterness. it's not complicated, but it's tasty nevertheless. Mouthfeel is medium-lighter bodied, appropriate carbonation, a bit of bitter pine and citrus zest on the finish. Seems to be west-coast influenced, and reasonably tasty.

16oz can poured into a tulip, canned 1/29/16

A- pours a hazy golden orange color with a one-finger foamy white head that retains shortly before settling into a thin film

S- citrus-forward nose with an emphasis on tangerine, also picking up orange pith, mango, floral hops and resin. Very faint clean malt

T- citrusy hop flavor follows the nose with notes of grapefruit zest and orange pith, followed by some fresh grass, spicy floral notes & resin. Bitter leafy dry finish

M- medium body with moderate-low carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a crisp dry finish, just a hint of ABV warmth

O- nice juicy hop forward IPA
