Canned on 10/20/16, drinking on 11/11/16, not my first one. Pours a nice hazy orange color, foamy white head that thins a bit but leaves nice lacing.
Aroma is of pineapple, bread, grapefruit rind. Taste matches. The first can I had very fresh needed time to mellow out, 2nd can was excellent, and only 3 weeks later I think it has past its prime. Most OH beers have a better staying power than this one. Still good, with a nice mouthfeel, but wish it tasted excellent for longer.

Serving: Can
Canned: Jul-25-2023
Consumed: Aug-12-2023
Note: 2023 version mentioned in other reviews.
Cloudy straw in the glass with a tight white head that lingers throughout. Nose is crackery malt, white wine and some tropical fruit, armpit (is that gooseberries?). The flavor is bright and fruity but not what I'd qualify as sweet. It also features white wine, lime, green grapes, sweat (the aforementioned berries perhaps?). Don't really know how best to describe the flavor than light and bright. No sticky juiciness or overbearing sweetness here. The flavor is along the same lines. Juicy and soft but not thick. It is refreshing and complex and simple and challenging. God, NZ hops are weird... But I'm certainly not complaining.

Yet another fantastic hazy from Other Half. I love Southern hemisphere hops, and this one certainly delivers, with luscious aroma and juicy flavor. This is the new 2023 version, with Motueka, Nelson Sauvin and Wai-iti hops. Checks in very drinkable at 7.4% ABV.

From a 16oz can, dated 07/25/23. Served in a spiegelau-style IPA glass.
Pours a milky-pale grapefruit juice-colour with two fingers of soft, soapy suds. Retention is excellent, leaving a dense shaving cream-like cap and a somewhat looser, tattered sheet of lacing.
Nose is lightly sweet and cake-like. Aromas of vanilla cupcake, lemon icing, lime.
Taste is juicy and tart with mild aspirin-like astringency. The can label promises ‘notes of tropical fruits, lime zest and gooseberry’ and that about nails it - plus I’m still getting a hint of vanilla cupcake, mostly in the sinuses.
Feel is powdery-smooth and medium-light bodied with fine, bright carbonation.
Wow. Nice. I won’t lie; I’ve been doing yard work all afternoon in the humidity and even a Bud Light Lime would have tasted good (in fact, did; Boy left a 12-pack in the fridge) but I’m pretty sure this would have been outstanding anyway. Note that this is a slightly different iteration than pictured and described above: Motueka, Nelson Sauvin and Wai-iti at 7.4% abv.

No canning date
Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (5% clarity) light and pale yellow color with a massive white head that lingers for days and laces the glass. (4.50)
Aroma: Strong aromas of grapefruit, gooseberry, finish grape, with some hints of lime in floral notes. (4.25)
Flavor: Strong flavors of green citrus, grapefruit, Finneas green grape, gooseberry, guava, honeydew melon and hint of lime. Smooth, green, juicy finished. (4.25)
Feel: Medium bodied, carbonation to match. Finishes relatively clean. (4.25)
Compared to Equilibrium Southern Lights 5/2023: Pours lighter, similar head. Stronger aromas. More gooseberry, green melon, lime. Less tropical pineapple, mango, orchardfruit.
Overall: A wonderful NEIPA here. No canning date, but must be fresh. Tons of green grape, gooseberry even with some green melon and lime notes. Very green, juicy, and pleasant. Reminds me of Hop Butcher The Jewels. Probably one of the best I've had from Other Half in some time. (Rating: 4.32)
