Bottle shared by Isaac last night.
Pours a light amber, with a half inch head, and a little bit of lacing. Looks rustic and inviting.
Smells very strongly of wine barrel, a bit of oak, oats, some slight citrus, and mild funk.
This is a different take on the typical barrel aged tart saison you see. The grains and the oats give it a rustic feel, you really can taste the oats and it's awesome. The wine barrel is strong, I get a bit of oak, and a lot of chardonnay. It's a huge character, and I love it. I get a bit of black pepper, spicy rye, and honey as well. Delicious.
The mouthfeel on this one is great- creamy, full, and slightly grainy, with a medium body. It's so drinkable.
My first beer from Other Half and I'm really excited to try more.
