Look: A murky orange with generous white foam on top.
Smell: Sugar, concord grapes, and granny smith apples.
Taste: Grapefruit and candi sugar, some apple. Aftertaste of subtle malt and grain.
Feel: Not a heavy beer, good carbonation.
Overall: Flavorful for its stature, a good mild IPA.

The bar for session IPAs is admittedly low. However, if you’re desperate for bigger hops in a low ABV package, you could certainly do worse than this. Relatively speaking, a great beer. I’d rather drink a full force IPA slowly any day, but for the style, Baby Diamonds is full grown.

16oz. can into a Surly teku.

Nose is citrus. Sugary with hints of starfruit and honey. Beer opens sweet. I get lychee, mango, clementines and starfruit. Some grassiness in the middle provides a little balance but it isn't much. Very muted bitterness. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly and aggressive in the mouth and goes down crisp and refreshing. Solid. Very drinkable.

A perfectly sessionable beer. Enjoyable and pretty packed with flavor for the ABVs.

Beautiful golden color with great head retention; huge peach, clementine, and apricot aromas; wonderful smooth body, satin texture. This is Other Half's best beer in my opinion.

16 oz can, dated 8/11/16, poured into a teku

A- A hazy golden straw with a two finger white head.

S- Melons, mangos, tropical fruits, some citrus/grapefruit, some hints of wheat and pine.

T- Citrus, some melon and melon rind, touch of pineapple, nice bitter piney finish that lingers.

M- Smooth, a little creamy, medium body.

O- 4.8% is on the high end for a session IPA for me, but the is great. The nose is probably the big nose I've smelled on a session IPA. Worth seeking out.

64 oz growler was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a hazy pale yellow color with good clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Lemony, tropical, wheaty, bready, and pale malts.

Taste: Nice hop flavor. Balanced maltbill, slight chewy notes, and slight bitterness in the rear. Very tasty.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, light bodied, crisp, refreshing, medium carbonation, a little chewy, sessionable, and light light bitterness.

Overall: If I lived in the Brooklyn area, this beer would be my summer drink. Awesome stuff.

This is actually my favorite of Other Half Brewing's beers. I have found Green Diamonds and a few of their others too hoppy and bitter, but this one is perfect. Nice balance and a touch of malt sweetness really make this one. If I was doing a blind taste test I never would have guessed it was a session IPA

16 oz can into tulip. Dated 12/4/15

Orange/copper in color with light haze going on.
Nice tropical nose, mango and citrus fruits. Good amounts of hops and pine.
Less tropical taste than I got on the nose. A good amount of pine and resin. Stronger than I anticipated
Medium mouth feel with a slight resin to it.

Baby Diamonds is excellent beer...compared to other sessions such as Pinner, Even Keel, Easy IPA, even Boat and All Day, this one easily wins in flavor and complexity. It's only possible downfall (and only reason to believe this is under 5% ABV...) is the mouthfeel, which comes across a touch over-carbonated, hinting at a weaker grain bill.

Drank this from the can at first, then poured the second half or so into a Tired Hands tiku glass. It pours incredibly hazy and while look is a subjective measure, I love the look of this brew. It just looks so homey and fresh..

Aroma is wonderful...eerily similar to that of Heady Topper. And yes, that's a good thing. The nose features grapefruit prominently, though over time it transitions to become more earthy and comforting. Flavors are right up there with the best 7-8% abv IPAs and if it wasn't for the slight over-carbonation, this would be nearly perfect. As it is, it's the best sub-5% IPA i've had.

Pretty good session. Almost tricks you for being that low of abv.

Nose: Very earthy, piney, a tad sweetness from the malt.

Taste: crisp light, strong hop presence, grassy earthy flavors with a beautiful lingering sweet malt flavor that becomes bitter over time.

Picked this up on Saturday after waiting in line for 40 minutes or so. The two beers that I bought from Other Half a few weeks back were great and this was wonderful as well, as it didn't feel or taste like a session beer at all!

Good pour to this, as the beer had a light and clingy head, cloudy golden hue, and a good amount of carbonation. Only a few bubbles were left on the side of my pint glass as I worked my way through this and those slid down pretty quickly as well. Nice dank look to this which was repeated in the taste as well. Along with that dankness was a tropical undertone and a herbal mouthfeel to this. Somewhat dry, there was a faint amount of hop oils and resin here as everything meshed well and the liquid slid down easily. This was light without feeling watery with only a minimal amount of "burn" in the aftertaste.

While indeed a session beer, this would be hard to consume in mass quantities. Not a bad beer but it's mellow as far as IPA's go but at the same time it had me intrigued as to what the Green Diamonds taste like. If this is the weakest of offerings in Other Half's lineup, they have little to worry about. A good choice for those looking for something hoppy but less intense.

pretty powerfully flavorful ipa in a small package. definitely the most lush "session" I have tried and it is nice that it doesn't come across like a watered down ipa. it is nice to see that a beer can have this muh flavor at this abv but it is still a shadow of its higher abv siblings. very much worth checking out as this is definitely hanging w the big boys of the category, but I will always reach for the powerful ipas and iipas if given the choice.

like the look of the yellower shaded IPA, session or not. this does not smell or taste of a lower ABV session IPA, smell of pineapple and something at the end almost minerally or deep citrus, taste was very citrusy and feel was lighter but given the session IPA was deep in character and texture, lots of flavor. good beer but hard to find.

The aroma his peachy, tropical, light dankness on the back from Other Half.

The flavor hits of light doughy malt, grapefruit throughout with a light bitterness on the finish.

Just picked up today at Other Half. Poured from a 16oz can into a Speiglau IPA glass.

Look is cloudy pale yellow with a frothy head that dissipates quickly.

Aroma is light orange hard candy. Like an herbal bitter orange and spun sugar.

Does not taste like a 4.8% session IPA. Has a lot more of a full flavor with lots of malt. Only hint that it is session is a slight thinness on the body. But that is such a small part of this beer.
