L - I like the can. The colors sort of blend into the aluminum. Pours a cloudy, murky haze. Brownish and swampy, but surprisingly lively. Warm.

S - intense, penetrating pineapple and dry hops. Candied citrus a la orange and lemon. Sweet piney balsam with touches of bubblegum. Gains a bit of a creamsicle vibe after it warms.

T - flavor punches as hard as the nose! Woof. Bright juiciness up front with loads of bubblegum, melon, and mango. But the sweet juice is fleeting until the big bad piney hops come crashing trough the wall like the Kool-Aid Man. Aggressive herbaceous bitterness, dragonfruit, and mealy, resinous hop stickiness. Like being rawdogged by a whole cone Simcoe hop. Finishes dry and bitter and grassy, no pussyfooting about here.

F - remember when I said it looked lively? Well, it drinks like it's alive too. Medium carbonation lights up the bitterness by assaulting the tongue with dozens of (pine) needles, but then lets up and cuddles with you afterward. You're the little spoon though, don't forget that.

O - an all around aggressive, hop-forward, and downright intense experience. Lots of sharp flavors jabbing from all directions, but some mellow smoother flavors to ice and dress the wounds.

This one pours a thick and hazy looking yellow, with a small head, and a good bit of lacing.

This smells like pine resin, pineapple, grassy onion, and tangerine.

This is pretty absurd. It tastes so soft and juicy, like biting into a cloud made of tropical fruits. There's a nice earthy almost onion like bitterness. Luckily the onion thing isn't too overwhelming, it just adds a nice green note. There's no malt here.

This is very soft and very drinkable- awesome mouthfeel. There's a typical level of carbonation.

Other Half is basically fishing with dynamite most of the time. This is awesome stuff.

Fresh can poured into fluted snifter.

Full on hazed yellow with a slight orange/brown tint. Foamy head, white, billowy. Clingy lacing.

Aroma of deep citrus lemon and orange. Earthy and resinous scents push through like the floor of a pine forest.

Tropical fruit flavors make their presence known but the earthiness is most persistent. Resinous and oily hops, piney, herbal.

Moderate carbonation and medium body.

Great presentation of the aroma and flavors of the Simcoe hop. A very tasty brew.

This is the best beer I've had from OH. Seems like they are going away from the heavy sweet malt approach they used to do, at least with this beer and that's why I like it so much. Still has a sweetness, but a good balance with the resiny hopping. Went down very nicely.

Look: Not a ton of head retention or lacing but this beer looks super hazy and cloudy.

Smell: The smell on this bad boy is amazing, tropical fruits, mango and pineapple.

Taste: Small hop bite from the simcoe of the front but all tropical fruit flavor on the back end. I have discovered that I really like IPA's that shoot for that tropical fruit flavor.

Feel: This has a nice soft feel, maybe closes I have had to the treehouse beers, not on that level, but close.

Overall: Really enjoyable beer.
