Double Dry Hopped Dream In GreenDouble Dry Hopped Dream In Green
Notes: DDH Dream in Green is brewed with over 50% oats, a little bit of lactose sugar and crushed with Citra, Motueka and Wai-iti hops. It then gets a second dry hopping with the same hops.

16 oz. can. Hazy pale orange. Smells of citrus, a light acidic zip, and lots of oats. Tastes about the same. Citrus, softened by lots of oats, a light acidic hop flavor, and a creamy texture in the back end. Low carbonation. Soft and creamy. It's got the hop flavor of every other hazy IPA, but its texture saves it. Good.

Pours cloudy orange -gold color with a 2 finger thick off-white colored head that faded slowly and left good lacing. Smells of orange peel, tangerine, faint grapefruit, fresh cut grass, lemon zest, biscuit, light peppery spices and some melon as it trails off. Soft smelling for a DDH brew, but nice balance and aromatic citrus notes throughout.

Tastes of clementine, star fruit, lemon, orange peel, pink grapefruit, dry yeast, coriander, tea leaf, dry grass, biscuit, toasted grains, piney notes, lemonade, some dry citrus hops and then earthy flavors as it fades. It’s very dry with a mild bitterness and lemon zest on the tongue as it fades. Well balanced and quite easy to drink.

16oz can dated 11/9/20 from johnny, thanks!

Pours cloudy yellow with an inch of white fluff. Moderate retention and lacing. Melon, lemongrass, pear, and grapefruit in the nose. Subdued considering the ddh treatment. Medium bodied with a thinnish, slightly crisp mouthfeel. Lemon, grapefruit, and unripe peach on the palate. Finishes dry with minimal malt or bitterness.

Pours a light orange juice with a thin white head. Leaves good lacing.
Soft smell of citrus and malt.
Nice balanced taste of quality hops. No bitterness. A smooth operator due to the oats. High quality, crushable.

Can from Halftime
Lightly hazy lemon gold in color with a huge frothy white head that takes forever to recede. Cereal horse feed on the nose with bits of milk sugar and hints of earthy grass. Citrus and earthy pine flavor. Not my favorite but smooth mouthfeel.

Hazy yellow with a finger of white foam that slowly fades. Huge mango, grapefruit, and kiwi with supporting orange, papaya, lychee, and honey, hops are piney. Taste is a clone, very bright and juicy with decent dankness on the finish but not as intense as the nose. Feel is bright, juicy, yet crushable but not too thin.

Can. White head with lace. Hazy golden yellow.

One of the first hazy ipas I can actually tell it's used with oats. Very tropical. Mango, papaya, melon, kiwi, and passionfruit. Incredibly soft with no bitterness. Also has a goji berry flavor in the background.

This is a definite winner. Had this with a month on it and it was drinking perfectly.

Canned 7/31/18 (25 days ago)

L - 1-finger fizzy white head atop a milky light orange body.

S - orange, pineapple, grapefruit, herb.

T - lots of grapefruit, orange, melon, and pineapple. Slightly dirty middle. Sour lime. Moderate-low bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.

F - medium-full body with minimal carb.

O - a little too dirty for my liking, but lots of great tropical fruit tastes going on here.

Picked this up at the brewery when it was released, finally getting around to it tonight as the date on the bottom was smeared but appeared to be 6/2. Like the other Dream/Daydream in Greens, this was sweet, smooth, and full-bodied. Lots to like about this beer but it didn't stand out enough from the other offerings to be particularly noteworthy though if you're a fan of those brews, you'll enjoy this just as much!

Not a bad pour to this as the beer had an off apricot hue with a sufficient head to top it off. Very little lacing left behind but there were still spotty sections to be seen. Lots of stone fruit, lactose, oat, and fresh-cut grass in the nose with plenty of lush mango and melon in the taste to reinforce that. Somewhat dry with hints of white grape underneath, the sweetness and juicy aspects could have been a bit more pronounced here. Not a lot of carbonation as the grassy feel came through in the aftertaste, with just a bit of hoppy dankness lingering for the duration.

This was just right when it came to amount of alcohol in this as I could have opened up another one once I finished this off. A slight resin was left on my palate once I finished this off, as a reminder to have me "dream in green". It's easy to do that with any of Other Half's beers as they always have me wanting more - even in the case of something not quite up to expectations such as this. That's how much these guys are killing it right now!

This is for the galaxy ddh version of this brew canned last week. The description above states a dry hopping of the base hops which I imagine would taste less "bitey" as what the galaxy provides, but either way... this beer is delicious. I like how the galaxy sharpens up the taste of the base hops quite a bit. OH FTW once again.

Big tropical nose, inclusive of pineapple, grapefruit, oranges, mangos and kiwis. On the taste, all the tropical hits including mango and pineapple, hints of starfruit, more of a tropical candy vibe upfront. Finishes dry but juicy, thick mouthfeel really compliments. Very well done, especially at only 6.2%, the amount of flavor packed into this one is outstanding.
